Want. So. Bad.

BTW Bells the ground-pound is probably some kind of seismic-power glove thingy, similar to Shriek from Batman Beyond, for instance. It's not really outside the realm of Batman-edness.

...

It just hit me...

Not only do we have a good Batman game, but we also have a damn good follow up game coming out.

Wow, the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

Oh, well that's a good point, I don't actually know. I'm just at the point where I automatically assume everything was originally made for consoles, and then ported to PC. With a few exceptions, anyway.

The game comes out in nine days and I just pre-ordered my copy today so I think that warrants resurrecting this thread. Holy shit, I'm looking forward to a game like I haven't in a while. I'm pretty sure the last game I bought was Red Dead Redemption and that was based solely on my love for Westerns and my trust in Rockstar.

I played Arkham Asylum almost as an afterthought when I rented it from my local Hollywood Video before it went out of business and I loved the game. I made sure to return it to the store and buy a copy. Aside from the mostly terrible bossfights and some frustrating design choices (why is Batman built like a brick shithouse?), I thought the game was solid and definitely the best one I'd played in a long time. And now Arkham City is coming out with everything I loved and so much more!

You can even play as Tim Drake if that catches your fancy. What is there not to be excited about?

The one thing I'm concerned about is how they addressed the 'detective mode' issue but this looks reeeeealy good.
