Fuck you for punishing me for having an Xbox Live Gold Account. I play system link with my friends and get no credits whatsoever. In order to rank up I apparently have no choice but to play matchmaking games with random strangers online, something I absolutely fucking detest.

I'm pretty sure almost all games do this. It's a balancing measure so you don't, say, have your friends idle locally and let you rank up and get whatever perks/cred go with that. Sounds petty, but gamers will totally do it.
