You see, (being generally ignorant on the subject as I've nver had the pleasure of meeting one, to the best of my knowledge) I thought there was some division between women who identified as a female in terms of gender but kept their original biological parts (who would not be referred to by that term and would be a woman) and a person who wanted to be simultaneously "male and female" for the purposes of appealing to the fetish or because that was actually their preferred biological hybrid-form or something.

...But seriously, precisely because it's not something I've felt compelled to consider or talk about before, and because it tends to be a taboo subject to discuss in a serious, non-fetishistic context, it's just not something I've ever analyzed in terms of whether using the word was inappropriate.
