Nope, Day one DLC. Could of been in the game proper and actually had impact, now it is messing with the established lore for the sake of a DLC.

I guess it is not as bad as the Force Unleashed DLC where you go around killing every main character in Star Wars with your fanfic Mary Sue character.

I mean, yeah... in some cases it's money grabbing.

But, you know, if there's gonna be day one DLC, I'd rather it be something that has actual content than cosmetic stuff.

Cosmetic stuff is generally easier to slip in at the last notice than actual content, so... it seems to me cosmetics is the money grab, and actual content is just something that didn't meet the deadline. EDIT: Not always, of course.

Not buying it is totally an option, and it won't have any effect on your experience. You can even consider the DLC to be what-if and non-canon stuff if you like, due to the nature of DLC itself.

I'm kind of in agreement with him, although not quite as passionately as he is. I was kind of on the fence about getting the collector's edition because of the weapons included. I'm guessing that those will be available as a small weapons pack dlc later on, similar to how some weapons were in me2.

If I'm going to be getting me3 at all now (which is to say probably will be, but not necessarily right away), it will certainly not be the collector's edition, nor will I buy the prothean dlc. I, like many others, don't particularly care for what they would have to do to the lore to fit him in, but I care even less that the content was completed prior to launch just to be sold separately.
