In this thread we give thanks to imperialism, the oft maligned, oft spat upon wacky prince of diplomacy- imperialism. He has been blamed for multiple world wars, for global destructioni, even for the perpetuation of the Ruse of Reason if you read certain bearded hegelians, and in our rabid hatred we forget the good times, the simple pleasures- the passing of British power sockets to Hong Kong allowing me to charge my phone while I wait for a phone, the proliferation of English signs allowing me to wander at ease, and a certain cultural dialectic which allows me to bust a triad drug ring in my 3 hour stopover with my supreme martial arts skills and questionable line deliveries.
So thanks for that. |

If it wasn't for British Imperialism, there wouldn't be the US. Which means a large portion of my ancestors wouldn't have been sent on the Trail of Tears and the Choctaw would still be a thing. If that was the case, I probably wouldn't have been raised speaking English. Thanks Imperialism.

We wouldn't have had Tintin in America. That was pretty sweet.

Dolph Ludgren would have just been a chemical engineer. Instead he became Ivan Drago.

Negatives of British Imperialism:
Some countries that would have been totally fine otherwise drive on the left despite that being idiotic. GOOD DAY SIR |

Left hand driving is better for plotting as you drive.

I don't see why that is something that you would want to encourage.
