EDIT: Kit wasn't laying down the puppy-dog eyes as thick as she could have.

Uh, not as in "They got married, had lots of horrible Devikin/whatever-Sabueso-is halfbreed children and lived happily ever after" riding off.

I meant in, Sabueso's had enough and decides to "rescue" Kit, to decide what to do with her later.

But, y'know. If you say "He wishes", that probably says enough about that theory.

Well, I'd like Kit as a girlfriend so I guess I figure everyone else would, including Sabueso, but I haven't asked him

Y'know, a feel I've been getting a lot from Sabueso this whole scene is that he respects and sympathizes a lot more with Kit than he does with the guys who're employing him.

Behind a pretty girl, actually. The art made that pretty clear. Also, it continued the trend of Poe coming to see him as a well-intentioned idiot as opposed to a pathetic idiot, so that's good for him.
