"Nyaa~ that's always so fun to do. :3"

Was Leer attempting to look threatening with his weapon, or trying to have fun despite his situation? Whatever the case, the nekomata was getting in the way of Yuurei and Shizuka's objective, and had to be either restrained or killed. With Shizuka injured and disarmed, it actually didn't matter to the spirit what happened, as long as it ended quickly. And as much as Yuurei would want Shizuka to take a back seat on the fight, she seemed to want a piece of Leer for the damage already done to her.

Yuurei watched attentively for any opening as Shizuka charged in on Leer. The cat led the fight with a thrust on his unarmed opponent, who dodged to the side and was met with another repelling blow quickly after. The kunoichi redirected that counter and swept at Leer with a low kick, forcing him to jump back. Shizuka was on him before he could completely recover his stance, but a quick spin of his weapon proved enough to get his opponent to dodge once again.

From where it was standing, Yuurei could almost hear Shizuka growl in frustration. It was obvious that with a proper weapon this fight wouldn't be as aggravating to her, but with the fight going the way it was all Yuurei could do was spring onto the nekomata while Shizuka was fighting, but Leer was making sure to keep an eye on the spirit while fighting. An annoyance, to be sure, but it knew Shizuka would allow an opening for its move soon.

Attack, block, counter, dodge, spin, attack, counter, block, counter... If Yuurei truly had eyes, they were glued to the nekomata's movements, watching and waiting. And finally it saw a chance once Shizuka got closer than usual, adapting to some aspects of Leer's fighting style. A blow blew past the cat's face, causing his attention on Yuurei to falter. A grave error, albeit one that couldn't completely be helped.

When Leer got his distance back and checked his surroundings, there seemed to be exactly one spirit missing. Had Yuurei abandoned Shizuka? Had it gone back to where it came from? Whatever the answer was, Leer had to shift his attention back to the threat at hand as Shizuka attacked once again.
