Laying Down the Law

Some special rules apply to the Nuklear Age forum, so here they are. If your post breaks the rules, it will be deleted and you will be temporarily banned from the Nuklear Age forum. Unless we feel like banning you from the universe. Muwa ha ha. Ha.

It is not required to mark your thread titles with a [SPOILER!] note. Rather, it is understood that any thread in the Nuklear Age forum could contain spoilers. But, dear poster, that does not absolve you of all responsibility. Some people may wish to read about what their fellow fans think of Nuklear Age before they purchase it; or perhaps they already own their copy but have yet to complete it. Or maybe they have no interest in the book (madness!) but they hate spoilers of all kinds.

In any event, you, oh poster of potential spoiler material, have at your disposal an equation most arcane. With it, you may post material deemed as "spoilers" while it is simultaneously shielded from those who wish not to read it (also madness!).

Behold, attempt to highlight the blank area next to these very words: It is a secret message, but lo, you hath discovered its depths!

"How can it be?" you ask?

It's so simple even that really dumb kid you know can do it. You know the one. God, I hate that kid.

You may guard your words by enshrouding them in the following code. An all important note: remove all of the spaces within the brackets. The equation is so magical that it cannot be seen by mortal eyes unless errors are introduced to it. But we, mages of the internet, we know the secret to sharing this forbidden lore.

[ color = #111111 ] and [ / color ] - that's six ones. Six!

Thus, the following sentence which contains a giant spoiler that would ruin the book for all and get your post deleted and put you in danger of being banned...

Grammar!

As this is a forum dedicated to a book, it is assumed that you are literate. Please post as though you are. Complete sentences, capitalization, correct grammar, and punctuation are appreciated. This isn't an English test, so we aren't going to nitpick about all the little details. Just make sure your posts are readable.

If you are incapable of correct grammar or feel that it's too much effort to go that extra mile, then you probably aren't old enough to read the book or the idea of plowing through its 660 pages fills you with dread -- albiet lazy dread. In either case, why are you posting here anyway?

Basically, we're just looking to avoid scores of posts like "OMG NUKIE IS LIEK SO ME WHENS IAM DRINKED 2 MUCH CAFEEIENXORZ!!!1 *hugglez the monkyes*" and the like.

One more, don't quote spoilers. They show up much more on the grey background of quote and are more easily readable. So if you have to quote something with a spoiler, delete the spoiler itself.

Incidentally you can ignore pretty much the entire first post, as well as the fourth post by shiney, and just use the spoiler tag. Like this!

(see you can't see it now, cause it's hidden!)

And it even works in quote tags!
