I'm thinking what happened is that Thief is much lighter than the other LWs, So while Fighter (who carries the heaviest stuff) would fall through the thin layer of ground immediately, It takes a while standing in the same place for BM and RM (with their magick stuffs) to break through. And Thief remains up because he's very very light. Or he wears minature snowshoes.

Thief is light? He's probably carrying a large pile of contracts, and other riches which would make him the second heaviest person on the team. He did explain about his amazing dexterity, i.e. the ability to avoid danger.

I thought dexterity meant the ability to react and move. He claims his dexterity is so great that he could catch any arrow shot toward him (or maybe he meant that his dexterity is so great that he could steal the arrows from the archer before he can shoot them, or both). Anyway, I think theif's words are a satire on the dexterity trait in d20 games (dexterity preventing you from falling? (into traps or otherwise)).

I think thief is just light because he is an elf. His Dex modifier might be helping, but i think he just dosnt weigh that much.

Well, idk about BM, but couldn't have RM done some sort dice-related move to see if he actually falls down the hole or not? He's usually so anal-retentive about that.

He didn't have time to roll the dice, and I doubt actual physics cares in this case. Notice he never actually needs to roll the dice in a real situation, like casting Ice on Kary.
