alright. with the expected release of the book on the east coast in just a few moments I would just like to say that this thread is not the place for Spoilers about the new book. however if you must place a spoiler change the color from "black" to "111111". Thats 6 of those "1"s. It would be VERY MUCH appreciated however that we keep this spoiler free for as long as we can. But if someone just MUST get a spoiler of the book...plz leave that spoiler disscussion to PMs. I know i dont have the authority to enforce this but I think it would be really nice for the whole NPF community to not have any spoilers of the book floating around too early. This is why im asking for no PUBLIC spoilers for a week. so umm..feel free to keep posting about a book in a NON-Spoiler fashion...like the writing style of JK Rowling and stuff.

Thanx for you cooperation. And i hope im not stepping to far out of line on this.

Well... that was just... awful... It felt like I was reading a fanfiction. Way to throw so much character development out the window... I'm really disenchanted right now. I'm just glad I still have Thief, Arudin (Dungeon Crawl Inc.) and Reno (FF7) to be a fangirl for, since... *sob*

sorry guys ^^. Howabout we just lay off the spoilers for three days? That should give all the core fans who dont want it spoiled ample time to read it. Sound good? If you disagree with this then PLZ for our sake use the 6 "1"s in place of "black".

I just bought the book not 2 hours ago (with my own money mind you) when my mom yells at me telling me i have to share it with my cousin so she can read *disgusted*. I'll probably have it finished either tonight or sometime tommorow afternoon. out of 3 chapters that ive read...i am AMAZED at everything that has happened in the 2 weeks time that the book doesnt live through after the 5th book. WOW. just WOW> I am however disheartened that the book came out shorter than the 5th book but couldnt really expeck J.K. Rowling to keep making her books longer. ohwell. My turn to read again :p .

oh how much did you pay for the book and where did you get it? I paid 24 bucks and bought it at a CVS pharmacy.

I paid 40 buck for 2 copies.. and went to the midnight release of it... we got there at 9... so I had 3 straight hours to read as much manga as I wanted.... that was fun... it's fun to just sit back and laugh at all the people that cam in dressed up.... so many laughs from me... >.> <.< what, anyway, I got it and fell asleep reading it lastnight... XD I'm reading it inbetween sentances now.......................... Ohh, Umm, yeah it's pretty good and I say.. DON"T BELIEVE A WORD TAHT CARNIVORE SAID.. it's balsphamey

Since I don't really want to spend money on the book, but am still somewhat interested in what happens, could someone who's already read the book PM me a summary?

Also, does anyone know (remember? Rowling may have said it at some point) how many books are gonna be in the series?

Rowling has said seven books is all she writing one for each year of school and she has said rather firmly and numerously that she will not write anymore Harry Potter books after that.

As for this book I waited last night for the midnight release of the book and didn't end up getting it till 2 then I went home and read til 3 but it was worth it. I've read about 150 pages so far and will probably finish it in the next couple of days. What I've read so far is very good and it's already got me wondering what's coming in the next book. Anyway I think I'll halt my rambalings there and find a bed for a few hours.

Anyway there was a question asked earlier how many chapters to get to hogwarts and its 8 chapters. Also, after the 7th Harry Potter book, do you think Rowling will let other authers a crack at telling Harry's Story like George Lucas did with the Star Wars Series or do you think she will put a definite end in the books so that there will be nothing more to tell after the 7th book?
