Will Cid ever make an appearance?

Scratch the post below. Cid DOES exist after all according to Sky Bob. Hurray! He's a dwarf king too. Will he become an important guide to the Light Warriors in their quests? Cid is easily the most important NPC in all of Final Fantasy. We need to petition Brian to give him a bigger role. Who is with me? (I hope this petition call works better then my first idea)

I also changed my font color to make it easier to see. It's fine in my screen bit I know contrast can be different on various monitors.

Okay, so he was never an "official" part of FF1 but still he is a staple of the series and it would be really nice to have a Cid character in my opnion.

In the Final Fighting Fantasy series (something I was just rewatching as it's author, SplashKhat, has just posted the latest episode after a 2 year hiatus) Cid helped make Excalaber with the dwarves for FF1 in that version. I liked the idea. Getting that sword might be a good goal to reach in the future and the heroes could meet him a few times beforehand also. It's a possibility anyway.

Well, I would just like to stick my hand in on a little petition to have a Cid character at some point for the series if Brian has not thought about it before. How about you guys?

Brian, think that might be doable in the future? I think it would be a nice addition. Cid is a time honored part of all things Final Fantasy and I think it would be a real nice touch. It needn't be a big problem and you have introduced many interesting and new characters so far... Isn't there enough room to add in such a big part of FF lore? Have you thought about doing this sometime at all? I would really love to see him and am sure others would as well.

I have question... Why you must write all text so hardly readable? Of course it is easy to copy paste elsewhere but...

FF1 don't have Cid so it is not so must. However what Cid can anyway offer to Light Warriors? Higwind?

If we petition to add Cid, where would it end on the staples that weren't really part of FF1? Do we want Chocobos, Biggs and Wedge, Bombs, a Behemoth, and so on? I say stick with FF1, and get the funnies goin.

Cid was only cool in FF9 and FF7... FF9 because he was a bug... and other things. FF7 cuz he kinda owned. lol. But we already have a set amount of characters that hasnt changed (cept BB) and works perfectly... It's not like they like dwarves anyway. They would just blow em up XD

Well, I hate to tell you people this, but Cid has been in the comic a few times. See, the Dwarf king happens to be made from the Cid sprite that comes from FF3j. Ergo - Be it his first, middle or last name, the Dwarf king is Cid.

Now shaddup about it.

No way Sky Bob. Now that I have gotten my way so easily I realize that the world is putty in my hands. I can do whatever I want. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :p

I must push forward with NEW changes. So now we can make this a petition to make Cid more prominent!

We also need to have his name put in the dialogue. You know, to make it official and stuff. More Cid. Less King Steve! Also, more cookies. What happened to the cookie advertisments?

By king Bob, I can only assume you are refering to King Steve's little brother who took over the neighboring kingdom until Steve totally kicked his butt out of there. With war.

In fact, I have no idea what your talking about. As you can CLEARLY see, I said King Steve. Not Bob. I'd have to be pretty silly to have posted about King Bob who never existed in the comic panels. :shifty:

For the record the coolest Cid was in 4, as he blew himself up with a bomb, did a little dance, jumped out of bed and went back to kicking ass.
