What do you think is the best game of 2006?

Well the year 2-oh-6 has had a bevy of excellent games. From Gears of War to Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. So I am just wondering... what game do you think is the best game of 2006?

IMO, I say Gears of War.

However, if there WAS a contest, I would throw Gears of War, Elite Beat Agents and Star Fox Command in this post somewhere. Perhaps even... HERE!

I'll add mine, I guess.

I suppose of the PC games I had played, Neverwinter Nights 2 topped them in terms of story and gameplay and longevity, after the 1.03 beta patch was released and most bugs were worked out (AI problems aside, I babysit them anyway).

I'd have to say Battlefield 2142 out of games I've played this year (Don't want to select a game, I haven't played now do I), which means I've excluded a bunch of games I want to play (Twilight Princess, Portrait of Ruin, etc).

I give Dead Rising runner up, because my disc was 360'd and so I could only play the first 12 hours (in game time, at 7:00 it crashes, if I go past the food court, it crashes) and therefore cannot validate if it gets old, or boring after that as my brother claims (therefore not allowing me to actually rank it, but still give it a mention.)

I give Gears of War my nega vote because, well I've said my problems with the game before.
