Strangely enough, if you love Invader Zim and you get a hold of the DVDs watch the commentary. It is hilarious stuff (sometimes funnier than the show) it's funny to hear what was going on inside of their heads at the moment (and very cool too) and they point out background things (which are some of the best parts of the show) i.e. The candy bar titled "milk"; after the car drops gir off after his night of raving, you can hear it get into a terrible car accident as soon as it's off the screen, stuff like that.

Invader Zim is still airing on Nicktoons. That alone validates the networks existance. Best of all they aired the christmas special The Most Horrible Christmas Ever, every day at 11. Normally I wouldn't watch ANY christmas special on a nightly basis, but this one was so worth it.
"Oh thats just uh mini-moose. My other side-kick. Yup... been with me the whole time."
Once me and the guys just suddenly started singing, bow down before the power of santa. Best christmas song EVER

*shutters* I saw that when I was about 16, to this day it still creeps me out. Arguably the most disturbing thing I have ever seen

That was pretty disturbing. In fairness, however, a show "for adults" is exactly what Nickelodeon asked for; knowing Vasquez's sense of humour, of course the result isn't going to work well for kids.
And then they cancelled it when they got what they asked for. Bastards.

If memory serves me correctly, that episode was called "Hamstergeddon"
I preferred "Parent-Teacher Night" myself, though; it had me on the floor twitching uncontrollably.

My love of this show will continue unfettered. It was one of those shows (along with Samurai Jack) that I believe were too far ahead of their time and would have thrived on Adult Swim. Honestly, Samurai Jack would be 1,000,000x better if he could fight things that weren't robots. I want to see eviscerate something with a soul, dammit! The same thing goes with Zim even though the one where he "killed" Dib with a rubber piggy was pretty cool.

I've never seen Samurai Jack, nor heard much about it...if it's in the same realm as Zim, I should check it out.

It's a similar realm quality wise, but otherwise it's completely different.

It's a Western made samurai cartoon with the feel of an epic martial arts flick, set in an apocalyptic and disjointed future(areas from every time period except now). It's got some of the best art direction ever. Generally serious especially for a Western cartoon, minimal cheesiness(even then it will be in episodes homaging something) and generally kickass.

I mean anyone remember the one with the ninja, I mean just damn.

I got the box set, with the three disks, and some extra disc. It's shaped like his house. His House. It's the best fugging show to ever grace the schedule of Nick's Petty Little FACE! Roar!!!
