Supply Lines, yeah that's a YEARGHBLBLE moment.
Apart from the usual always just getting the angle wrong and failing hundreds of times at some jump, YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!!s My sister breaking my only N64 controller when I was taking a break before the final leg of OoT. I had to wait a fortnight before I could a get a new one and finish it. YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!! Saving in the sunken ship in Metroid Prime, without the Gravity Suit, causing me to start over. YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Yazmat (I refuse to call him Yiazmat) in Final Fantasy XII. It's not that he is hard, per se, but he just won't die!

Necron... god he was an arse.Dullahan is a large arse, especially after doing 72 straight rounds in the arena. Dijinn Storm, Charon, Formina Sage, Formina Sage= Dead me. I was also quite cocky getting into the arena cameos in TOS, I get my ass beat in moments, faster than my first abbysian. And Freya, beat her once got cocky, didnt heal, and got owned by next random encounter.
YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure Necron could be killed with a phoenix down or something like that...
It would feel like cheating to me, but if nothing else works... |

Actually, that supply lines mission in GTA: San Andreas isn't that hard. All you have to do is let go of the acceleration when you're at the desired hight, and slowly glide to the next target. You wont fall from the sky, and taking that friggin' biker slowly and from a distance is a good idea.

One such moment I experienced a couple of days ago, while playing World of Warcraft. I was doing a Shadow Labyrinth with some guild mates of mine. All went along nicely, we start clearing the mobs, take out the first boss without any issues. Our morale was sky high, we were joking, having fun, enjoying the instance. Then we stumble across the second room.
Frankly, I haven't seen a more hellish room in an instance for a looooooong time. First of all, you have packs of around 5-6 mobs, that you need to deal with. All right, sure. The only issue is that I was the main healer (a level 70 restoration shaman), and one of the mobs cast a bastard of a shadow word pain. Let's not forget also the healer mob within the packs. I was a bit nervous that I might not manage to heal properly, but it worked out well in the end. Ok, so with a little effort we manage to take out group after group. Now, one key YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!! moment happened right before another one of these 5 mob groups. The following happened nearly instantaneously: 1. Our ventrilo server crashes & we lose all communication between us. 2. We had an elemental aggro monkey of a shaman which pulled just then 3. The cherry on top of the cake: we get ambushed by an assassin coming right behind us and raping one of our clothies ... ... ... YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!! Now we managed to get past that room after a long time, with 5 ambushes from assassins & some more Ventrilo crashes. Boss time, woo! ... I hate the 2nd boss in Shadow Labyrinth with ALL my heart, whatever's left of it. He casts a mind control from time to time, but not just a normal one, no. A FULL-party mind control, and then pits us against each other. And under the mind control state, of course that we all burn down our cooldowns & eat up almost all of our mana. So we wipe a couple of times on the boss, and then third time, the miracle happened. We managed to down him, eventually. What happened first was our poor warlock getting raped by all of us during the mind control, and eventually 3 party members die, leaving only me (the resto shaman), the boss (at 10%), and our tank. After a gruesome, epic fight, we manage to down the bastard, at which moment I yell out on Ventrilo: YEARGHBLBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Metal Slug Anthology. GodDAMN.
I was playing Metal Slug X today, trying to get as far as I could without losing a life. Then I got to that damn crab thing. The only way you can evade most of his attacks is by going underneath him, and then he goes and sits on you! Oh well, I figured I could keep playing. So I make sure to avoid his "sit" next time. But then he shoots little FIREBOMBS out, and you have to get underneath them to shoot at them. Then a FLAMETHROWER appears, setting fire to anything that isn't on the far side of the screen. Either you get killed by the flamethrower, or you can't avoid the firebombs. Just... no.

Not really an in-game moment, but in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, 100% Souls, 100% map, Hard mode, Claimh Solais, and all that fancy stuff...and my mom thinks it'll be nice to let the neighbor kid use the GBASP...A month of work...gone with a push of a button...

Culdcept is filled with them.
For those who don't know, it's Monopoly+Magic:TG=Awesome. However, because of the randomness of the cards and dice and other things, you can get pretty hosed. Because SOME characters almost never land on your high level lands. Also, the last mission in San Andreas if only for the time factor to get to the part that's actually difficult. Also, finding out that one of the extra scenarios in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance HAS NO ENDING kind of just pissed me off honestly. The Wandering God |
