Fire Emblem: favs, habits, general oddness

Okay, as very few people know, I am a Fire Emblem Fan boy, meaning, I will buy something if it has the words "Fire Emblem" on it. Now this might be odd, or normal, or a third category I don't know, but I'd like to hear from others who love these games.

What's your Favourite:
Over-all Class?
Top Three Characters?
And the reasons for behind those answers
I'd also like to know which of you have managed to beat the Hard Modes on Fire Emblem 7-9.

Here are mine,
Mage Knight, I don't know why, but I totally love this class. They may not be as strong as Sages overall, but they have interesting casting styles and their Staffs look cool.

Nils is my total fav character, he's a bard, he's an ice dragon, he can agi tank, and he has a SCARF. While he never uses his Ice Dragon abilities he still is useful, as he can use rings like his sister and is the only one who gets access to Set's Litany.
Nino comes in second, a Mage girl, with some importance storyline wise, she's the child of powerful magic users. Is in general a nice person, and as the potential to match/beat Pent, and if used right, can be God-like, to the extent of fighting Fergal.
Finally, Ewan, he starts as a Pupil, or Mini Mage, as I call him. He lacks strength at the start, but gets far stronger as the game goes on. He can be made a Sage, a Mage Knight (I made him this), a Druid or a Summoned, depending on the player's preference. He's also stronger then most magic users, as he had the potential to level up 50 times.

As to hard Modes, I've beaten FE9's, but am still trying to beat FE7 and FE's. A side note I’d like to make, FE9’s on hard mode was humorous, and I even laughed, as it was a perfect match between my chars and the Daein Army.

I love heros and sword masters for some reason. They so crazy. I would say lyn has to be my favorite because she is a sword master with strength and she can use bows. Then there are the guys with hair(can't remember names. Just that they had red hair). I can't remember playing through hard mode or not. I need to play them again soon.

I can't really pick a favorite class. I really like Asassins because of the massive Critical strikes, semi-high HP count and they're so hard to hit. But then there's Rogues which also get a lot of criticals and are really speedy and like Asassins, so hard to hit. But have all the abilities of a theif AND can pick doors and chests without a pick. Both are equal to me.

As for characters, I can't really pick. There's too many. It would be like trying to pick a favorite character from Suikoden. But also I've only played 7-9 and I only just began Fire Emblem 2, 4 and 6. I only played about 6-7 into FE6 before I stopped (its not actually brought over here) and the only version of 4 you can play is only translated up to stage 3, so I stopped there. Because in Fire Emblem 4, the battles are immensely long and hard and the objectives always change so you can't play it without knowing what's going on. So for half the series I just can't say I know what characters are out there.

I loved the trainee characters from Sacred Stones. If you manage to level them all the way to 10-20-20, their stats become absolutely spectacular. Plus, they have the potential to become any of at least three different upgraded classes, so you have many class paths open to you.

I believe the best way to class them is Pirate then Berserker for Ross, Knight then General for Amelia, and Druid then Shaman for Ewan (I know summoning stuff is cool, but it's pretty cheap sometimes).

My favorite Lord has to be Hector, though Ephraim is a close second. Hector kicks so much ass, and he's hilarious to boot. Ephraim is comparable to Hector in combat, but he's not as entertaining.

I've only played Path of Radiance, but...

My favorite class has got to be Paladin. When I was playing, my 4-5 paladins could just mop up the map of enemies. Until near the end, most monsters would die when they attacked because of their retaliation.

Top three favorite characters - Hmmm... Ike because I thought he was just cool, Kieren because he was one of my powerhouses and I thought he was hilarious, and I can't help but like Rhys, because he was a male white mage.

Don't have a gamecube, can't find the right roms for SNES, but I did get the rom for Fire Emblem 6: Sealed Sword, and managed to get 7 (Rekka No Ken/Blazing Sword) and 8 (Sacred Stones). Between all those three games, I'd like to say 8 is the best because you can go on maps, customize your characters like hell with classes, etc, etc. I have to be honest, I turned Seth into a Cavalier with codes while I was still able to use codes, and he got max stats by the time he was full level. It was insane. Close second though, even though I'm spoiled on customizability is Sealed Sword, FE6. The characters are quality, there are TONS of characters that have huge speed and luck that just rule (Lugh, Ellen, Rutger, Clarine, Thany, Chad, all dodge most attacks) and I'm at mission 6, so... there are going to be a lot more faves.

Right now, for Sealed Sword (6), I have to say that although I absolutely love Lugh and sending him on rampages where he slaughters everyone in the map because everyone attacks him and he dodges it all and has an increased HP anyway... I often use a lot of walls, you know, characters I won't level up that have high luck and HP, like my favourite wall of all time, Marcus, the gay sonofabitch. In the seventh one, Blazing Sword, I don't like the characters at all, but I have to say, Hector was the most likeable character as well as the best character. I like mages, but man, Hector's too awesome to ignore, and axes are ranged anyway, at least the good kind. In FE8 (Sacred Stones), which is probably the most creditable game I can name a favouite character in, is a tie between L'Arachel, Gerik, and Ewan. I was able to use codes through the entire game, and equipped my horsemen (I use nothing but female horse riders for the most part) with the most powerfully ranged stuff (Psychic, Bolting, Iron Ballista (3-15 range, the red squares can't cover that range)), so I might be biased to the guys that use bows like Innes (turned him into a Ranger), Gerik, Neimi, and Marisa (shut up, she's still damn good with a sword on a horse..!! T T).

My favourite class has to be Mage Knight, because I love magic and I love horses, but I'm a huge fan of Dark magic also, but there's no class that weilds dark magic on a horse, so... s'kind of unfair, I wish there was, otherwise that'd be my favourite class. I'm the type of guy that raises speed like nothing, then equips an incredibly heavy weapon to do great damage and still be as fast as a ninja, on any game.

Fire Embelm 6: Sealed Sword. On Mission 6.
Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword. On Mission 16x with Eliwood (eugh..)
Fire Emblem 8: Sacred Stones. On Mission 9 with Ephriam, beat game with Eirika, both on Hard

To Mammothank: Ewan is generally better as a sage or super pupil(3) as both gives all magic, without codes. PM me if you want some neat glitches in 7 and 8.

Anyway... 6 is awsome, Rutger is le god. 100 crit without cheats is sick and wrong in so many ways. Hector in 7 is pwnage with his Armads. Eliwood with the Ubeh Spear is awsomeness incarnet. Lyndis is Meh, as well as Eirika and Ephraim. And Roy, decent unpromoted, but with tth sword of seals, he becomes the legally closet thing to a god. Oh, and FE6 Zephial is badass.

Sick, yes, wrong, no. I'd play this game just so I could see this 100% crit rate

General's rule. Wallace wasn't all that great, but he was awesome during the parts when he talked lol. General's are great for fighting too, specially when you hit lvls 20-20, they are FAST, strong, big, etc. Hector was the best lord ever. I'm the same as the guy who started this. if it says fire emblem, i'll buy it lol.

my favorite class would have to be sword masters lots of speed, high attack power and high critical hit rate.
favorite characters would have to be lacke from fe4 I'm pretty sure she's the strongest sword master there is. next would be soren and lastley volke.
don't really remember hard mode but I know I did it in fe6.
