So who else is getting this game when it comes out? I hurried and re-bought a Wii this week realizing this game was coming out on the 25th. If you aren't buying a Wii for it but are interested, I and a few others are going to be buying it and talking about it (probably here).
So who is interested in the game? Who's gonna want to battle? Who's gonna be my first Victim, hehe.

I reserved it upon the suspicion that Nintendo may include a bonus uber-legendary for pre-orders as they did with Coliseum and XD. If they don't, hey; it's only a $5 deposit and I probably would have gotten it anyway.
I probably won't be kicking anyone to the curb anytime soon; my Pokes could stand for some levlins. |

But I'm gonna get a Snorlax somehow. I have to breed it from a Munchlax anyway for the Last Resort skill anyway so I guess I'll just have to do one Pokemon without using Emeralds IV checker guy.

*Raises both hands for buying the game the day it comes out like DP did when Diamond came out and the other for being KM's first "victim"*

I'm probably going to get it. The only thing I don't like is the way that the game is going to be so... elitist. I haven't played D/P online yet, but with all this stuff about IVs - spending hours per guy to fully maximize their abilities, even if the difference is TINY - it seems like it's going to be like Counterstrike (headshot or bust) and Warcraft 3 (no micro? no win).
Still... it's basically Pokemon Stadium with 500 guys. Pretty good deal, especially because I'm splitting the cost with my brother. I just hope I have enough for this and Resi 4 Wii!

Ok, after extensive play of the game, here is basically the lowdown.
The game itself is pretty basic. You battle everything in your path and try to win. The maingame is cut and dry...you go to every place in 'Poketopia' and battle everybody you see and when you win, you onlock that area and gain tickets. When you beat everything, you unlock everything and can use the tickets to get all the prizes. The important part is how the online features work. Sad to say, its a mixed bag. Fighting online is both mad fun and kind of weak. Playing online finally has been a blast and nothing is more satisfying than wiping an entire team of legendary Pokemon with just a Butterfree and a Lapras. But at the same time, the other side of the coin is, when you aren't playing with friend codes and against people you know, meaning the random battle options, you are only limited to playing either single pokemon battles with only 3 Pokemon at a time or Double Battle mode with only 4 Pokemon. But the worst part about it is....almost everybody and their grandmother is using all the same Pokemon. Infernape, Emporeon, Metagross, Pilika, Delaga, Rayquayza, MewTwo, Dextoys, that elextric cat thing, yadda yadda yadda....and Nintendo didn't give us an option to either forfit the game before entering or ban Legends... Now obviously I found a way around Legends with the whole Butterfree thing, but its just getting old fighting the same 6 Pokemon + Legends over and over again. I can really see this game kinda...dying if Nintendo doesn't fix this. I know this is Nintendo's first outing onto the online scene, so they needto jump on this quickly. I never liked the whole 'Tiers' system for Pokemon and I always wanted Nintendo to come and re-invent something new when this game came out. But instead, they totally threw up their hands and ignored everything. Sad to say I'm kinda dissaponted.

I demand a full 3D Pokemon game ala the Gameboy ones(Actual exploration/adventuring!) except for the Wii.
If I can't throw my own pokeballs with the Wii-mote I'm going to cry.
