I just finished Portal and it was a lot of fun.
The end of the game is pretty funny. I think it's one of the funniest games I've played in a while.
I really liked the ending credits. (spoilers)

I heard that Portal is short, but that's kinda vague... Sooo, how short is Portal?

And how hard is it (in terms of puzzles and all that good stuff)?

According to steam, I beat it in 3.1 hours. The main game isn't that hard, but I haven't played any of the challenges yet.
I'm pretty sure there are going to be plenty of custom maps coming out soon though.

I love portal.

The puzzles are loads of fun and the whole game is funny as hell and drenched in atmosphere, mostly thanks to GLaDOS, the facility's artificial intelligence program.

"If you love that box so much why don't you marry it? Well you can't, I won't let you. How does that feel?"

She's like SHODAN's funnier, wittier sister. Even the turrets have great voice clips.

Until the 360 is 1 generation out of date, and then it won't run the new games period.

A gaming rig can have components updated to extend its years in addition to the length of life it'll have from the day it is built. (for example, some RAM here or a video card there and you can keep churning high-end performance)

Also, since consoles don't get hardware updates (a new console doesn't count as an update), ports of more recent games to a console never look as good as they can on a nice machine.

And what Yrcrazypa posted.

Consoles are great and all, but I found your reasoning silly.

Plus, Counterstrike on the Xbox was crap, and Half Life on PS2 was also crap, waht are the chances they will be any better now?
