Wow that is one evil Katara. Poor Zuko's got to be getting sick of girls willing and capable of killing him....

Soo how long til we get hordes of Zuko-Toph shippers being annoying?

Hopefully the next episode will show us Iroh's great escape.

Why is it everyone seems to underestimate Sokka? He's one of the best straight up fighters in the group. If you took everyones bending away the only person better than Sokka might be Zuko. I mean the sword master, who was apparently one of the best in the world, told Sokka that if he just practiced on his own Sokka would become an even greater sword master. It just sucks that Sokka's awesomeness gets lost in all the bending.

Hey, I just questioned how the hell he is so great with a boomerang. He calculated the perfect strength to throw it in a HUGE angle, based only on the place the eye rays were coming from and the time. Seriously, it's like finding the exact spot where shooting that tank with a pistol will work.

Sokka was the oldest man in his whole village for years. They always made light of his abilities as a fighter, him being the punching bag comic relief, but you have to imagine that in the time he had, he practiced the hell out of his skills. When you're the only one around to protect your home, you better work your ass off to make sure you can do it.

It's Sokka. He performs awesome when he needs to.

I wonder how Aang's fire training will go. Probably a lot of meditation, at least at first.

Well, it DOES make Sokka's skills in the games seem more plausible. ( Sokka's boomerang on Burning Earth rebounds. ) I guess that the fact that he's comic relief is the only reason why he kept getting his ass kicked by everyone in the first two seasons.

You also have to remember that the gAang basically only ever runs into crazy good fighters and most of them are benders which puts him at a double disadvantage. However, he did hold his own against the knife throwing emo girl and didn't do to bad against the super happy acrobat. That was when he was half asleep and just plain exhausted. Also, in The Tales of Ba Sing Se just before Sokka found the poetry class he was just casually throwing that boomerang and catching it without even paying attention to where it was flying. Those are some mad skills yo.

Then he also got that training from the sword master. I'd say Sokka might actually beat Zuko in a no bending sword fight. Sokka just has to get past that clumsiness at the wrong moments thing. (Though that clumsiness has saved him a few times so he might want to keep it.)

You have been watching the series, right?

Sokka has a massive intellect, combined with years of experience with the boomerang. Even then, he still made a little prayer since he knew it'd be a very hard shot to do.
He also was surprised by the results of his 'anging, if you did not notice. He thought a single blow from the boomerang would be enough to stop combustion, he did not expect that he'd cause the guy to "blowback" on himself.

It still amazes me, though. It doesn't seem like he's at such a gigantic advantage against benders if he fights that, too. Changing the subject a bit, Am I the only one who believes that [spoiler]Aang will pick up firebending extremely fast ( like with waterbending ) and Zuko will go and do about the same that Katara did in the waterbending scroll? ( as in, "wtf, how can you do that so fast? It took me months to do it for the first time!" )[/spoiler2]
