If it was a laser I'd assume it ran on the same power source that Warmech ran on, so if he is alive and kicking(In the sense that robots are alive) then so should his lasers.

I myself believed that in his quest to play tennis, he modified his weapons to shoot tennis balls instead. But flying castles have an astonishing lack of Tennis balls.

Its a bad idea to use the same power supply for the warmech AND the lasers, think about it... everytime he would use the lasers the power would drain, leaving less for the warmech, so that would mean that after a few 100 or more/less shots of laser his battery would die with him, suicide
(not the best way to make someone die but its still killing someone)

It doesn't necessarily have to be connected to very same source. It could be a separate one of the same type.

If it is the same I don't think it matters though, because of his age almost all other forms of energy would have died by now, so I'm assuming he has some form of magical or perpetual energy source that will be hard-put, if not impossible, to use up.

Nuclear power. You start off with Uranium, re-seed when it runs low, rinse and repeat until re-seeding no longer has any effect and then switch to Plutonium.

Radioactive decay more often than not produces more radioactive material.




Alternatively, fission/fusion. All things depending. Or maybe both. That way he can get energy out of both, by fusing elements and then splitting them directly afterwards or later.

Re-seeding is a process by which Uranium rods can be bombarded with neutrons(?) to recharge them. By re-seeding the rod, you add back some of the essential particles used to create nuclear power. But it's only, like, half as effective each time or something. By re-seeding a spent rod, you only get a portion of the original capacity, and only a portion of that the next time and so on and so forth. It increases the life of each rod for Uranium-radiation use, but it gets to a point where it's just not worth it.
