i would join

man its madness out there (about a few hours ago i quit because everyone was insane)
i even whet to a pyro achievement server and all i could do was die (because the other team did nothing but spawncamping

i did get campfire and deadheat though

We have a Steam Group right here. Nuklear Power Forums (NPF)

I went to one of the achievement servers called "Pyromania." It wasn't as much of an achievement server as much as it was a giant pyro deathmatch. I was able to get the flaregun, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Didn't really get to deflect anything with the alternate fire, though.

If you want to work on the deflection achievement, find a Sentry gun placed where soldiers can get a bead on it. Second point of Goldrush 1 has a good sentry spot whose major weakness is that enemy soldiers can shoot it from the battlements. Hang out next to that SG and you should get a fairly consistent stream of rockets from beyond SG range, which means you should be able to bounce them easily. Plus, you'll be helping to keep that vital SG alive even if no spies come at you.

Timing the reflection of rockets is very touchy, apparently. I'm not embarrassed at all to say I only got the Campfire achievement, because I only played Pyro for about 3 minutes. The rest was me as a Spy disguised as a Pyro.

How'd that work out for you? I'm genuinely curious, since disguising as a class that most of the other team is playing as is advantageous, (plus pyro is a good disguise, you get your full speed and it's not weird to be holding your primary weapon all the time) but on the other hand GODDAMN PYROS. (For a while I played a lot of spy.)

At least they're not scouts.

It actually worked out very well. We were on dustbowl, so you ended up hiding out in one of the secondary access routes and crouched, it looked like you were camping. It worked especially well when the round went to melee only sudden death, because we just ran and hid around their dispensers. XD

Damn scouts. :shifty:

Oh man, I love defending the second cap on the first round of Dustbowl with spy. You can almost always cloak back to the hut right outside their spawn and slip into their reinforcement line undetected, and then you can move up on your victims without acting at all suspicious. I set my record for backstabs in one life doing that.

Second round second cap is almost as good, if offense hangs out in that alcove just past the one-way gate. I remember once I was going around to that alcove cloaked when a heavy started shooting at a teammate behind me, I managed to avoid getting hit by shifting over to the right so that I was barely not falling off. I managed to get all the way to that wall in front of the entrance to the alcove, and the heavy was standing right in the frame so I couldn't get in. I was expecting to run out of cloak and die, but then the heavy started moving forward. I ran out of cloak just as he got in front of me.

Playing spy on Dustbowl offense, on the other hand, I've never enjoyed.

Meh, honestly, screw acheivements. Especially the steam ones. They are even more pointless!

So, is this update for the orange box on 360 as well? I never tried it, even with the medic update. And if it is, does that mean there are even more acheievements for that game? I didnt even know they could do that with an update.
