Hi all, just wanted to let you know I got the used core XBox 360 that I mentioned in another thread. I now bring to you a strange quandary. I have been scouring the internet for a good guide on how to attach an external hard drive to my XBox 360. They all say the same thing: create a 32000MB FAT32 partition on the external HD and attach it to the 360. My 360 has yet to recognize my external HD. I am using a Maxtor OneTouch 4 external hard drive, and have one 31.25 GB (32000MB) partition on it, with the rest unallocated, and my 360 refuses to see it when it is plugged in.
Can anyone explain to me, or link to a decent step-by-step process, how to properly partition and attach my external hard drive to be used by my 360? EDIT: I should clarify that I am trying to use my external HD for actual saves and such, not just transferring media. EDIT 2: After more research and further experimentation I have made the shocking discovery that Microsoft is run by whores and a thrid-party EHD won't work for what I want.
