I'm not sure how familiar people are with the
Siren series, but it's a survival horror with a unique way of conveying the storyline. In Siren, the plot is delivered through cutscenes that are played in stages and in movies unlocked by completing stages and finding archives [plot-items]. But every playable stage has a (canon) secondary objective that is unlocked by doing something specific in that or another stage. Stages are organized by chracter and time, and one could play through three consecutively unlocked stages and jump all over the story.
I'd like a survival horror zombie apocalypse game with a strong story and good characterization. I'd imagine it being like
World War Z as a video game, wherein one plays stages in which various characters try to accomplish certain goals in a manner similar (or even identical) to Siren.
