Taking me out of context, Mirai. I had to figure out exactly who you were quoting and was shocked to find out it was myself, as the entire rest of the post contradicted what you tried to insinuate I meant by taking it not only out of context of said post, but out of the context of even the sentence it was in.
Also, "What do you mean 'we,' paleface" is the punchline from a classic joke involving the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and an overwhelming amount of Native Americans opposing them. Fair enough. I'm actually not, as the gameplay features I've heard about thus far don't really interest me in the slightest.

My point still stands. KOTOR 3 could very well exist if they didn't decide to shoot for an MMO. Even if all that you said about Lucasarts and Bioware and Obsidian is 100% pure undiluted truth, not having anything in the KOTOR universe with a couple million fans with their money already (Me especially. I mean I bought the KOTOR comic books based on the games alone) prepared to spend on your game is a hell of an incentive.
When I quoted you it seemed like you were in support of it, and then promptly acknowledged that Solid Snake had a point, albeit that you disagreed. So, okay, sorry about that. Quote:

See, I don't think that was necessarily what the guy meant though. Bear in mind the header for that section of the article "KOTOR 3 MIA... WTF?" This suggests that the quote in the following paragraph was in direct response to the question "Why are you making this instead of KOTOR 3?" rather than an admission that they considered making it and then decided to do an MMO instead, and then the following bit about KOTORs 3 through 11 was a half-assed attempt to placate the people demanding the KOTOR 3 that BioWare will never make.
Actually, yeah, he even says, "Our fans ask, 'Why aren't you doing Knights of the Old Republic 3?'" So I think it's pretty clear where Ohlen was going with that statement, honestly. It was a direct answer to that question.

If he actually wanted to make it clear that they had decided to do an MMO first rather than to replace, I'm surprised he didn't just say, "Well it isn't like The Old Republic is the last KOTOR that will ever be."
Though it wouldn't surprise me if Gamespot expletive deleted it.

Actually, it looks like the LucasArts guy covered it earlier in the article:

Bioware is like any other company out there, they want to capitalize on making an MMO. It's normal, in a good way and in a bad way. We will just have to wait and see how it goes. They must have some of the game finished already, because (and correct me if I'm wrong) it sounds like they have been planning this for a while. They know from personal experience that their neverwinter nights game took off well, so they want to take the next big leap forward. So, what better way then to work on a new star wars kotor game? Lucas arts probably agreed to it because their galaxies game might not be producing enough profit to keep it afloat, and they also know that fans have been wanting a new KOTOR.
Naturally we're all kind of ticked off about the no-KOTOR3 thing. But its a new world out there and we might as well adjust to it.
