Figured we might as well have an anime thread for shows that didn't warrant their own threads.
Just finished both seasons of Black Lagoon. Although I didn't like the final arc of season two as much as the others, as I personally felt it went on too long, and I preferred the shorter one to three episode stories. The Hansel and Gretel arc hurts to watch. Great show, though. Certainly one of my favorite action shows, and the characters are awesome. Decided to start watching the D. Gray Man anime despite my better judgement. It's like Bleach meets Fullmetal Alchemist or something. At least based on my absolutely minimal knowledge of Bleach. Has a badass emo vampire, though. So that's something.

From myanimelist:
Casshern Sins (still): I stopped at episode 13. Gotta get back on track with that. Dragon Ball Kai: It's crap. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (piano version because Funi sucks!): ONLY TWO MORE EPISODES UNTIL IT GETS INTERESTING FUCKING FINALLY Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu: Finally back! Michiko è Hatchin: Yeah, kinda lost track of it. Seto no Hanayome: Because I was feeling like a romantic comedy was missing in my life. Shikabane Hime: Kuro: It's amazing how great this series became when the plot finally started to move along (more or less at the point where they start to pull a Gurren Lagann plot twist on you). I wanna blame GAINAX, but it was probably the source material's fault. When I say I'm "watching" these I'm only really watching like two or three; the other are on-hold. I also finished Candy Boy, or that mini-series about a yuri incest couple that was surprisingly clean considering the premise. Last edited by Regulus Tera; 06-24-2009 at 01:28 PM. |

Aura Battler Dunbine: Love Kill Em All Tomino
Trigun: VASH THE STAMPEDE SAYS "LOVE AND PEACE"!!!! Code Geass: Lelouch Rebellion: It's interesting. Not the greatest but not bad either Cowboy Bebop: One of the Greatest Anime TV shows ever I'd be interested if anybody has an Giant Mecha or Real Mecha series that are good to watch besides Gundam and such.

So I'm currently watching
Hetalia: Axis Powers - Hilarious wtf-ery and cuteness abound. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2009) - Waiting for more episodes. 'nuff said. Eden of the East - Amazing. I can't believe it's over. Romeo x Juliet - Currently working my way through this. I'm really liking it so far. FMA: Brotherhood - Trying to watch this. Can't get past ep 3. I think I've just become disillusioned with FMA in animated form since the last anime and movie. I feel like just sticking with the manga unless someone can persuade me otherwise. And I'm looking for some anime recommendations to force on Nique. ![]() Quote:
And, I've never watched it, but I hear Macross is good.

This doesn't do the series justice, but it's one of those things where it's hard to explain why it's good without spoiling the good parts. It's only 26 episodes, give it a shot. Also, Eureka Seven. Edit: Oh, and I'm watching new Haruhi and FMA. I still haven't finished Nanoha A's; I'm not sure why.

Nothing, really.
Mostly because I'm too lazy to find a good dub online(through LEGITIMATE MEANS OF NON-SWASHBUCKLING, YES). |

I actually have Dia-Guard and loved it, the premise was excellent and I loved the focusing on the aspect after the battle with dealing with the damage it caused.
I haven't gotten around to buying Gurren Lagann yet and I saw Eureka 7 on tv once but i couldn't get into it. I own Evangelion and FMP plus I have Macross because I grew up with Robotech and as soon as I could get each version of Macross I got em.

Just Finished watching Code Geass and Code Geass R2. I found them to be actually very good. A very nice mix between Gundam Seed and Deathnote.
And I'm also watching Yu-Gi-Oh, The Abridged Series.

One of the things I like about D. Gray Man, now that I think on it, is that although some of the character/enemy/monster designs would totally put people off, they are pretty unique. Everything has this goth clown vibe that I totally dig.
Another good thing is that, so far, the only character who gets strong when he's pissed is Allen, which makes sense as his weapon is actually a part of his body, whereas everyone else just wears theirs.
