Best part of the trailer. Unlike Fang or Hope or Lightning that think their funky transforming summons are dead serious stuff, Vanille totally knows the idea of transforming summons is ridiculously stupid and she embraces that ridiculousness and just plays along.

She better go BANG BANG with it.

Also, I just noticed that he does have a shoulder pad on his right shoulder as well, but only his left one is spiky. Dun dun duuuun!

But the right side of his collar is all turned up and spiky, so it kind of evens out.

Regardless, I blame Nomura for this. Just when I was starting to see Cid as kind of a General Leo.

So word on the wiki is that Cid is the leader of a company of soldiers, commands an airship, and may even be a l'Cie. This makes him not only one of the youngest Cids, but also one of the most dangerous and accomplished, especially given his age.

I'm waiting to see what they do with him. He seems to respect his enemies and doesn't exactly seem thrilled about his position in servitude to the fal'Cie. He might actually provide an interesting villain.

Site has some new stuff, like a page for Hecatonarghfuckicantspellthatshit, but the Sanctum bit under characters has some old guy named Galenth Dysley, though he may have been there before now. There's also Captain Rygdea, who we saw in the same trailer that showed off Cid. Anyone who speaks Japanese should totally check out their pages and let me know what the dang hell it says about them.
