Damn those trainers have got big hair. Guy looks like he should be in some unshaven indie rock band and the girl looks like she should be working at a beauty salon or something. Both are good though, unlike beret boy from DPP. On the pokemon, I like the fire pig, though the water otter thing is cool too. And yeah tree lizard looks ridiculously smug so not using that unless it gets a evolution way better than it's first stage like Sceptile and Torterra, or the others get really lame ones, like Meganium.

So do we know anything about the region like what part of Japan it's based on or what kind of environment it has? That usually gives some details about what pokemon to expect.

I'm leaning towards a platypus, really, but the head doesn't make sense.

I dunno fire pig looks pretty great really. Only water otter looks really damn weird but I think they were going for a sort of snowman look. Wonder if it will have water/ice typing?

Also I've got no problem with unshaven, currently am very much unshaven myself, tend only to clip it to stop chinbeard forming. Also very much in need of a hair cut, but I'm reluctant to go as it currently keeps my ears warm pretty well.

According to the scan, the first Generation V games will be set in the region known as 「イッシュ」 Isshu, which is quite a distance away from all previous regions. The magazine scan implies that the region is a foreign place that must be traveled to by boat or airplane. Legendary Pok?mon reports that a new location titled 「ヒウンシティ」Hiun City will possibly be in the games, though this has yet to be confirmed via scan.

People are speculating that it's gonna be China or Northeastern America.

I think it's cute. And besides, otters DO have rather big noses. They're also fucking awesome.

Yeah otters are great even if they do stink to high hell. Just think that snowman/otter thing there is over designed.

That sounds pretty cool, I was wondering where'd they go as they'd covered all the major regions of Japan I was familiar with.

Man, you guys are missing the obvious connection here. They practically made Bidoof a starter.

But yeah I like the Grass, Water, Fire starters in that order. All I'm asking for is a Grass starter that is a decent Special Attacker, is that too much to ask?

PS: No Sceptile doesn't count.

Yeah, Sceptile doesn't count because his best attack is PHYSICAL. Totally lame.

Venusaur WAS a decent Special Attacker... before Gen II and IV made it fubar.
