I think there was a guy in the trailer who looked like FFXII Cid, he had a light beard and stylish eyeglasses and pounded a table. I think the FFXII Cid was original because he was the only evil Cid (or could be interpreted as such, I suppose...seemed like it, anyway).

Yes, within the purple prose of FFXII he had some of the purplest.
He's also made fathers like Shadow look good, abandonment is not as bad as being CRAZY MAD.

I really just hope this game's VA don't do a 3 second full on pause every time their character has an ellipse in their speech. IE Dissidia
Seriously, you don't have... to... talk... like... this... for... drama.

In Final Fantasy Fifteen every character will be voiced by William Shatner.

Well, Vayne was pretty obviously evil, but only really because you saw him behind the scenes. I mean, you knew he was going to be the villain, but he was very much a politician and put on a very good public face.
Quistis, well, honestly, she could have maybe used a bit more development. Also, a bit more consistency with her glasses. I think her battle skin would have been much improved by their inclusion, especially since she has blue eyes and the way they did her pupils always made her look like they weren't focusing, which, as a guy with glasses, I can relate to, but it didn't make it any less unsettling. If they were going to go the non-glasses route, they should have darkened her irises a bit or increased her pupil size, maybe. But back on her character, I think she needed a bit more screen time for her personality to come through, since she was arguably one of the more complex of the cast, given her feelings for Squall and the fact that he didn't reciprocate. What was there was okay, I mean you got to see how well she knew Squall as her student, and that she was capable, but lacked leadership skills, and how she tended to internalize all her stress and try to put on a brave face and how that sometimes backfired, but I'll admit she's not a shining example of character development. You do have to admit she was pretty badass at that gun turret, though. If they hadn't largely tossed her off to the side the moment Rinoa stepped in, I think they could have made good with her. Nooj is actually pretty interesting. For those who haven't played the game, I'll explain. Nooj is essentially famous for various reasons. For one, he's the leader of a major political party, but he really only got there because of his history, which is intertwined with much of the political backstory. Simply put, he's a damn good fighter and a war hero of sorts. On the other hand, where you might expect a guy who's lost limbs in battle to be crude and bitter, Nooj is actually quite refined, and more importantly, very down-to-earth and soft-spoken, never treating anyone as beneath him and generally being humble about his past and status. Given the way the story is structured, he's not really an enemy, but he's not really an ally, either. He's simply the leader of a faction and believes in his own ability to better and guide the world. Overall, he's quite likable, and he was a lot nicer about explaining an early plot point than the alternative choice, actually giving you a much better deal of information and being greatly less harsh about telling you not to get wrapped up in it. Overall, he's pretty complex and defies a lot of expectations. I dunno, I guess I don't see where I'm wrong?

![]() Dude raised Balthier, who is Balthier. Best father ever right there. I've noticed the ss tag neutralizes the color tag, and if you work around that (put color inside ss) the color tag defeats the ss tag. It seems to me that it should be possible for whatever script that swaps between grey and white text should be able to swap between grey and (arbitrary text color) with just a little extra work.
