Cures for the Summertime Boredom

Im finishing my super-secret art project, and monday Im gonna start my second one.

Since i like you, I'll tell you project 1 is a full model of sorcerers island from the Riftwar books, complete with Vila and Castle.

Project 2 is a new display shelf for my room, that is a mechwarrior mini battlefield

I'm dancing in the frickin rain all the bright night long, on faraway fields and overgrown roads. I've missed rain, and warmth where I don't have to forcibly drag people outdoors.

And I'm writing and drawing every now and then. Making stuff is fun.

I'm taking a couple of summer classes this summer to finish up my degree, creating resumes and portfolios to prepare for applying for jobs as soon as I get my diploma, and I'll probably get a PS3 to have something to do in my spare time. I've also been reading cheap detective and mystery paperbacks from dollar stores as something to do, if you just shut your brain off it's a good way to pass the time.

This summer will be spent in the pool, or the gazebo with a cold drink and book.

I've just moved to Washington, where I have lived previously, only this time without my parents. I currently live on my brother's couch and am unemployed. Everyone I know is at school all day, and since my old school was a couple months ahead of most, I graduated like 4 days ago while my friends are all still in school for another few weeks here. Now my daily schedule is split 50/50 between playing video games at my brother's house and doing stuff with my friends/girlfriend. Activities we have planned or done include:

Hiking to a nearby lake and spending the day there
Iron man 2 and Robin Hood
The OMSI, an awesome science museum in Portland, Oregon
Making lots of cookies and delivering them stealthily and anonymously to various friends of ours.
Going to Wal-Mart to wander aimlessly around the store and get whatever we feel like getting (We ended up walking out with 2 bottles of bubbles, a rubber ball filled with water and glitter, and a set of face paints)
Making a cake

My summer will be spent writing an excel program based on the market that will accurately, with 95% certainty, tell me whether or not I should by stock options to come out with a profit.

I just stared at this thread, and I had this profound feeling,
it was a cross between jaw dropping wonderment,
and light crushing pressure, like a 10lb weight on top of a 2 foot thick layer of packing peanuts.


Ok... how to obtain life.

1) Figure out vaguely what kind of person you are, start by looking at your friends, if you don't think that fits then try expanding your social circles until you find friends that act like a mirror to what kind of person you are.

2) Take an average of what your friends are into (if you're not into it, see step 1), and try and arrange to do it, after that go with the flow and try to slowly integrate things your into to evolve the social circle while moving with it, admiring the principle of nature is key, if the group has a nature, respect and admire that, if it doesn't fit don't try and force it either way... let it ride, guide it soft or let it go.

3) If friends don't appeal to you, mr han solo, then get active, find shit that unlocks other chemicals and stuff in your glands and brain, find your unlocker of choice, and do that.
