More because Atlus is a small company with limited resources that sells to a niche fanbase and that thrives in maximising the fuck out of already known technology. Need I remind you that Persona 3 did not come out until 2007?

They haven't done a single HD game, only published. I doubt Persona 5 will be the one to break that trend, at least not before the beginning of next generation.

Also, I was of the impression that Strange Journey was the sequel to Nocturne.

Why not? Persona 4 was their best selling game. They have to make the leap eventually. What other game would they make the leap to HD with?

Not really. It's an SMT game intentionally in the style of Nocturne, but it takes a heck of a lot of cues from Persona PSP, too. It's not like it continues Nocturne's story or anything.

EDIT: Looking further in, it does look like Strange Journey is the official fourth SMT main series game, but I hardly take it as a sign that Atlus is only making portable games now. Like I said, Persona 4 sold better.

What this shows to me is that SMT5 will be on HD before Persona.

I didn't say it would go portable only, I said it would go to hardware that feels comfortable (meaning cheap and quick) to them.

Or, maybe Persona 5 will be a hallway JRPG about rebel schoolers fighting THE MAN because that's their destiny otherwise they become evil Personas (and if they succeed they become crystal Personas).

Also no HD Towns.

I know it's impossible, and I know they would -never- do it but I pray for a new Chrono game. If only for the memories.

Frankly, from what I've seen of SMT and friends, they never take full advantage of the graphical capabilities of the system and rather take advantage of the storage capabilities of the disc. They store a lot of data, but a lot of it goes to content, rather than visuals. The PS3 came out Q4 of 2006, which has given them four years to look into it. While I have to say it's possible they'd do it for the PSP, the fact of the matter is that I'd be surprised if they did it that way given how much of a boost being on a console has given them. The PSP is simply not a key pathway to market saturation. It was fine for a third remake of P3, but that was them trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel, not to penetrate.

Isn't that that simulated kid? Am I the only one slightly creeped out by that? I mean, Molyneux at his most Molyneux, here, for one, with the entire thing being for its own sake, but it's a ten-year-old boy, here. Like what are you supposed to do with it? Use it as a virtual friend for your kid? Parent it? Aside from that, he just looks creepy.

Maybe, but the whole idea behind it is interesting to me. Assuming it works like Molyneux says it will.
