Just like, a couple hundred miles beneath you, It's still relatively balmy!

And as for NC, we do have bigger snows from time to time. It's just that my presence here keeps us from having a giant ice storm of doom like every state above us*. There's still enough for a snow angel, though never for a Bill Watterson snowman.

*The big ice storm that NC had a few years back? I was sick, and in Atlanta!

I live in Brazil, where it doesn't snow, except in like, 2 or 3 cities. All I can say is: "DAMN YOU, YOU LUCKY BASTARDS!".

Ice storm? You mean, like the one that hit back in 98? Mostly got Quebec? My family had to sleep in the living room for a week because we were afraid the large maple tree out from would collapse and break the roof. There were live downed power lines outside my house. It was AWESOME.

The thing I like best about winter is at night, when there's good snow cover and it's cloudy. All the snow and clouds reflects the city's orange lights a whole lot, which casts everything in a deep rusty hue like it's the end of the world. Sometimes it's almost maroon. It's a lot brighter too, so you can still see everything even at midnight. Very eerie on a windless night.
