I'd wonder why so many characters in 8BT default to discussions about lunch when it comes time for a random digression, but I'm a lunchoholic.

And I'm sure whatever Fighter has planned is incredibly safe.

Blue Magic only absorbs enemy attacks, of course. Every FF geek knows that.

Then again, RM is sort of an enemy to BM. I guess he just isn't enough of an enemy.

well, it is fighters prerogative to get the team into as much pain as possible when he's bored/motivated to altruism. Chain teleportation anyone?

I mean, I trust Fighter will not kill Black Mage. But this leads to an interesting series of questions: what, exactly, is Black Mage's power? How long will it take for them to appear? How long will Brian be able to prolong the frustration before it's no longer funny? Why do I appreciate ironic self-narration so much? What is for lunch, after all?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't get immunity to all spells by virtue of being a blue mage. he has to get hit with it first, so we'll see what happens when RM casts ice at him again.
