Embarrassing Video Game Moments
An event that your friends won't leave you alone about ever happen to you in a video game? Post it here so we can continue the tradition!
My list: Soul Calibur III: I was fighting the Colossus on the Hard Difficulty, and I had just killed the damn thing. I forgot that it kills you if it lands on you after it dies. Can you see where this is going? Accidentally falling off a cliff. Stupid Iron Sword jump attack... Super Smash Bros. Melee: In a moment of cockiness I decided to go against three level 9 enemies (I'm not that good at the game) thinking it'd be easy. I didn't get a single kill. XD Halo 2: Blowing myself up with a rocket launcher many-a-time. And that's all I can think of at the moment, haven't really played video games a lot lately. ^^;

First time I ever played Unreal Tournement at a friend's house, didn't get a single kill. I hardly got any hits in. That's all I can remember at the moment...

Ultima online: I was out with a bunch of friends and we got in a heated arguement with a group of people we had just met. anyway i started going through my stuff... I went to double click on an item that just so happened to be on top of a box i had masterfully rigged with explosives. As you can guess, somehow I missed the object that was on top and accidentally opened the box. I was in the middle of calling someone an imbecile when i exploded into chunks of meat. Many a laugh was had at my expense XD

This wasn't really an embarassing moment, just funny. I was playing Halo 2 on Live with a friend, and we were on Midship. I was running into a room with 2 guys, my friend behind me. Some guy comes up behind him and starts to shoot him. Moments before his death, he throws a plasma grenade in a last desperate attempt to help me with the 2 guys. As I run into the room, the grenade firmly sticks itself to my left assplate, and the 2 guys come at me. The grenade goes off. My friend gets a double kill and somehow escapes getting a betrayal. We call it suicide bombing, and sometimes use it as a last resort or if we want to be stupid. And believe me, it works. Surprisingly well, too.

Can we list egregious errors in games/game mechanics too? In this case, it's embarrassing for the developers.
Like, who the fuck chose the voice actor for Salazar in Resident Evil 4? Fuck. He couldn't be more obviously a white man trying to put on a greasy mexican accent (even though it's supposed to be spanish) if he tried.

Oh, in that case, I submit "True Crime: New York Cit--BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" for being the only console game I've ever bought that actually locks up every ten minutes out of the box. Apparently one of the truest crimes is the sin of beta testing.
