I'm not sure who had the better plan, Fighter or Red Mage.
Also, this comic had a deleted scene. Thief was originally scripted to say something along the lines of "If you need help burying the body, I'll be over here taking Red Mage out of the contracts," after Fighter reveals his fiery solution. But I really wanted to have that cool close up of the potion. Now you know the rest of the story.

Now this is the 8-Bit Theatre I know and love! Hilarious and evil all the way through. It looks like Fighter is learning the Red Mage technique in plan-creating. His flaming sword idea is a plan any Red Mage would be proud of.
Edit: Okay, so the Dark Warrior comics were great to, but those don't count because they aren't the Light Warriors. :P Last edited by Joshua; 01-06-2007 at 12:23 AM. |

As my girlfriend of seven years so aptly observed: 'He went through all the pain of almost death just for the smarty cool ending.'
I think that I agree.

There are days that I sit in front of my computer at work and sigh deeply as yet another week comes to a close without a laugh, this is not one of them. I love the potion close up. i have tried this in D&D before as well and let's just say my DM is a jerk...

I really like the new Thief pose where he sticks his hands in his ninja-pockets. Classy.

See? RM's non-linear thinking doesn't always lead to disaster. Although
I liked Fighter's plan, too. And, hey, he's actually making plans now! Stupid plans, granted, but I still think it's a step in the right direction. 'Glass is half full' and all that. |

That was great!
I pulled a similar stunt in a D&D game. I was playing a half-wild elf thief acrobat(the DM let me take that class for my base), and he gave me the option of jumping from a rafter in a pub to a small window to try and escape. Obviously, being a crazy half-wild elf thief, I went for it. Made the jump. Kicked the window open too. Made the jump out. Almost made it to safety, but was shot in the back with a crossbow bolt. Then, on the run out of the town, I kept rolling natural 20s or 19s. Needless to say, I made it out of town only to pass out after about 10 rolls... ![]()

great way to get up... but whoever had the mimicing of theif's being ok idea... that is probably cooler than the real recovery plan. Im not quite sure which idea more red mage-ish.
