Well, here's something I wanted to bring up in the other thread:
Turbolaser bolts and higher, would they be able to be deflected by a lightsaber? I'd say it depends on whether they are the same width as a blaster bolt, if they have any width at all. In the dark horse comics Luke parried a turbolaser bolt from an AT-AT, but we don't really know whether it was set to it's highest setting or not, and we further don't know if he used the force to cancel out the heat of being that close to a 'beam,' or whatever, from the turbolaser. Also: Would you be able to 'stab' someone with a lightsaber or would the effective wound be incredibly small, with the actual 'kill' area of the lightsaber being only as thick as a stream of atomic or sub-atomic particles.

You can stab someone through a critical organ and kill them just as effectively. Although it does cauterize bleeding and takes away pain. But since it can cut through the flesh and bone with little more difficulty than the air it doesn't matter you just cut them in twine
And a turbolaser bolt is a stream of plasma that has been put under intense pressure that was then shot out. It's basically higher density plasma. My guess is that Dark Horse just was making it sound cool. The justification would be the force but in reality that couldn't happen. As we saw with the "official explanation" physics isn't high on their list.

But see, standard Star Wars weaponry can't be plasma, because when the Yuuzhan Vong arrive, all of their ship based weaponry is based on plasma, and follows the gas/liquid state form, and the Republic doesn't know how to respond to this strange new weaponry. If it was plasma, wouldn't it be the same as the weapons they have now?
Also, a stab wound from a lightsaber would be fatal, because while the basic stab is small, the heat radiated out from it would basically liquify all the organs and bones surrounding the beam, which could be quite unpleasent along with being fatal. And last but not least, there is a New Jedi Order series where a jedi (I can't remember who) is reflecting the plasma shots from a Yuuzhan Vong coralskipper. Considering the state of Plasma, I found this highly unlikely, since while he could reflect some of it, the liquid could just pour around his lighstaber and melt him. Thus, my conclusion is, Star Wars physics do not in any way follow real life physics.

Quick note: Plasma Isn't liquid, It's a unique state of matter, But then again, I don't have the slightest idea of what a Yuzzzangcvsd Bong is.

It's unique but it is closest to a combination of Gas and Liquid is how it has been taught to me.

Perhaps the Yuzzhan Vong used not plasma state weaponry but plasma weaponry as in the liquid portion of blood.

... So they are shooting a clear liquid that melts through metal, shields, and people?

When heated it would become more of a gel-like substance in all probability. Given the heat is past flash point if mixed with a silicate gel compound it has the potential to do that.

It's not blood plasma, it's sun plasma. The fact that a Jedi deflected it with a lightsaber has much more to do with the force than the lightsaber, light(even condensed light) just passes through other light. Two lightsabers would pass through each other ot hit the opponent not stop each other, but for each wielder's force talent.
That's why Stormtroopers don't carry around lightsabers to fight and block lasers with. It wouldn't work. It's all in the Jedi, not in the tool they chose to manifest the force through. There is even an instance where Yoda fought a ligtsaber wielding apprentice with just is cane and could stop the lightsaber just as well with the stick.
