Funky new Final Smash that we didn't already know about, Pikachu's Volt Orb. This update clarifies and expands some stuff, like that Final Smashes aren't all fire-and-forget. "Hunt them down!" kinda suggests that Pikachu's is more like a fast electric hammer. It also suggests that Pichu got cut, as Volt Orb can only be learned by a Pichu, though that may be reading too much into it.

Now discuss everything else that happens in the world of Smash Bros. in the time between now and six pages from now.

I hated Pichu, mostly because unless they are insanely strong I dislike the idea of a character that hurts itself with nearly all its attacks.

Hmm I made the first three right after the first trailer. Then there was a 4th when the site first started up, then the last one when the daily updates started, now this one. So 6 I think. Damn that's a lotta topics.

And Aerozord, the point of Pichu was to be crappy. He was this game's Dan Hibiki, something you only used to humiliate far worse opponents. Though I hope they change him out this time. Maybe have Baby Bowser be the useless bitch character.

No, the point of Pichu was he was suppose to be like Pikachu, except near his strength, way faster, more manuverable and a lot harder to hit. Jump higher, be faster, quicker to turn around, lighter, etc, etc, etc.

Their way of thinking to balance this was to have him hurt himself a little when he attacked. It was just a little too much of a handicap seeing as his model, Pikachu, wasn't Top Tier like Fox, Falco, Shiek Marth or Peach.

Don't dis Pichu.

I know two brothers (twins actually) who go to Melee tournaments (and have won several times...) and both use him.

They are so good its not even fun to play with them, although at one point due to a shear amount of practice with Ness I was able to take both of them on and win in a free for all match.

I was so proud that day.

Also, it looks like Wario was so gonna eat Kirby. That screams irony to me.

Also link to smashbros.com cause I am tired of typing it in the url box, and think that this being a Smash topic where we discuss the released tidbit on the website there should be a link to the damn site somewhere.

I doubt this thread is going to be stickied. We'll have a few weeks of bantering, it'll dip into obscurity, then a week/month before the release we'll be all up in arms again.

I'm only surprised Sakurai hasn't done some talking about the Crawl maneuver.

I dont know about that, these threads have been in existance for months. And even before then we had melee threads. Maybe not a brawl sticky, but I do think a Smash Bros sticky should be made.
