Sooner or later they'll run out of people to kill.

You guys are the worst peacekeepers ever.
I mean, what crazy mathematics do you use when "Extra security + Iraq = More deaths"? Perhaps you should request UN help or something? Still though, I don't see how leaving the country will improve (or, more accurately slow down the decline of) the situation in Iraq.

Iraqi's aren't all too in favor of America leaving now, as they know that it'll GET WORSE.
However, America first entering MADE IT WORSE. And our continual ignorance of things like Iraqi's trying to help America and being told to f' off MAKES IT WORSE. The government is mishandling Iraq in every way possible.

The worst thing we could do would be to leave.
Excellent article on the progress two democrats found in Iraq and the political arm wrestling that's occuring. Who is causing trouble in Iraq right now? Who is setting up IEDs in the road and driving cars packed with explosives into markets crowded with civilians? It's NOT the Americans. It's a group of assholes who don't want to let that country settle down and live in peace. This just happens to be a tough situation that the Iraqis and Americans got caught up in. It's a shit sandwich that everyone has to take a bite out of. The tide of this war is changing once again, and it's turning toward the American/Iraqi advantage. Occupy. Defend. Stabilize. Protect.

It's really tough decision. US troops had no business being there in the first place, but now that they ARE there, I beleive it's the US's responsibility to fix the mess that's been made.
I mean, you can't go into someone's country, mess around, then say "whoopsie, it's not working" and leave. Obviously, what they army is doing right now isn't working, but I can't think of anything that would. I'm just glad it's not my decision. |
