It think I may be online here a lot more than normal soon since the release of Brawl is causing incompetent new people to do this to my normal forum. Anyone know how to keep a forum safe from this crap without liberal use of the banhammer? About 20 spammers have shown up already and people are getting scared.

Really, its getting terrible.

No.

You put up rules, you ban people who break them (after how many infractions depends on personal niceness), there's not much more to it.

Guess I'll just camp out here till its safe then.

darned noob kids makin me leave a forum. Oh well, this makes a better opportunity for me to work my way into the regulars list on this forum, then slowly but surely invade it and corrupt it like I have other forums before it. Once I have the undying obedience of enough, I shall create my own army of internet forum slaves that I shall harness to RULE THE WORLD

Hand out warnings, and ban away. Not nessecarily in that order.

A blitz of punishment will get the point across more clearly. The message being, "I'm not going to put up with this crap for one second, so shape the [beep] up or see yourself off this forum."
