Default Stradia Book 2 Discussion Thread 2

I can't be the only one who was always a little creeped out by the fact that I was posting in a Discussion thread Azisien started, right?

So, Kenshurians have just bounded into the shit and most of the named Venurians are strangely actionless. What fun!

Also, I kinda sorta hope that when the real book comes out there's a running gag about how Ari can't maintain his forces of named Venurians.

Strangely actionless, you say? Then why is Enrik up to his usual fucked-up-ness?

But seriously, I have no excuse for not posting for so long. All I can really say is "I'll make up for it with more slaughter."

Also, puppy stabbing. Never thought I'd go THAT far with him, honestly... Bad, bad man, ideed.

How do you think buddy, fan-fucking-tastic i'd say. What with puppy stabber over there and Professor McLoseHisBuddies waiting for his friends to die I'd say I'm doing pretty good!

You know what we should fight next, like 30 elite gargoyles and a fucking dragon-no! three dragons! Each of which is as powerful as god. That'd be underdogging it, for once.*

I think it should be noted however that the priest is a short-lived man in Stradia, what with the first temple attack, Ari's assassinations of priests in Gole and this second temple attack. It's just not a good idea to be a man of god, if you want to live. I'm looking at you Vincent. By the way where did he go?

*P.S. This is not true.

Basic Character List (in order of sign-up)

Name: Loki Swordforger
Nation: The Circle K
Description: Young dwarf fighter/blacksmith with red hair and green eyes. Uses two hammers. Super-best-friends with the ranger Penn ala Gimli and Legolas.
Skills: Melee VII
Shapeshifting V

Name: Ariosto Cantare, simply Ari once you get to know him.
Nation: The Big V
Description: The word ‘psychopath’ is thrown around a lot when talking about Venurians, if Ari were a psychopath, why, he’d be the sanest of the bunch. A consummate sadist with more tricks up his sleeve then a team of David Blaines.
Skills: Enchantment VII
Conjuration V

Name: Enrik Tolbasi, “The Crucifier”
Nation: V for Violence
Description: The word ‘psychopath’ is thrown around a lot when talking about the Venurians but by the gods this man is insane. The bad kind. A passionless soldier off the battlefield but a merciless killer on it, Enrik is a very, very, very bad man. He has a special penchant for crucifying his enemies…. A bad bad man.
Skills: Melee IV
Elementalism (air specifically) II
Conjuration II

Name: Iarann O’Clochanna
Nation: Kinda Kenshurian
Description: An old mercenary dwarf who may or may not have disappeared off the face of the RP. An old battle-axe who uses a battle-axe in battle…. (Hmm… probably coulda worded that better, something about darkness maybe.) His ties to Kenshura are loose and might be pried with a bit o’ gold.
Skills: Melee VIII

Name: Vincent Runeheim , “The Voice”, Vince
Nation: Avelia > Kenshuria –but- Avelia Kenshuria –so it all works out-
Description: The kindest man of all Kenshuria haunted by his recent actions, the war has taken its toll on the once pure soul of this fine Kenshurian priest. What will the final cost of this war be?
Skills: Healing XII

Name: Kay Marshall
Nation: Very Venurian
Description: A healer disgusted by healing, would prefer to shoot men dead then patch them up. Her allies would rather she do that as well.
Skills: Range III
Healing: IV
Melee: I

Name: Penn Balthiere
Nation: Kenshurian!
Desription: The son of two great figures of Kenshurian legacy, a warrior’s and healer’s mantle have long sat atop his shoulders. Though for a keen eyed ranger he long thought his dwarven friend was just a short man.
Skills: Melee V
Ranged IV
Healing III

Name: Graeme Oakhill
Nation: Kenshurian Knight
Description: A Long Patrolman who was but a novice at the beginning of the war but with the addition of his newfound scars is a wealth of experience. A fine warrior who weighs all his actions carefully, especially in battle.
Skills: Melee X
Ranged II

Name: Torin Kavos
Nation: Kinda Kenshurian
Description: A scrappier Kenshurian would be hard to find, if pressed to fight Torin fights back hard. A street-smart Mercenary who carries a blade with no intention to use it.
Skills: VI
Elementalism II

Name: Threm Murir
Nation: Valiant Venurian
Description: A weakling of a gargoyle (in the sense that gargoyles can come weak), who with determination worked his way into the Venurian ranks. Quick, with a sharp eye and talent for the bow he is still as dangerous as any of the ‘strong’ gargoyles out there.
Skills: Ranged III
Conjuration III
Shapeshifting I

Technically, I think this is actually the start of dropping the average life span of Stradia's dragon-worshiping monks as opposed to the Avelia-worshiping priests. But yeah, clergy life isn't that grand in wartime.

Also, Mintaro, who are the earthen spikes originating from? Vincent?

the earthen spike came from Amelia. Also Amelia moved the earth to move the soldiers at Vincents request. I left it all as being implied because Vincent is still a PC, technically.

Ah, I had forgotten Amelia was there as well...once Ari's AOE magic dampeners are finished with he might have to take on the priestess.

I'll be posting real soon folks! Since Vincent is kind of AWOL, you guys can feel free to control him as you see fit. Unless I'm directly controlling, then just assume I'm Loki the Fallen.

Also kill those drakes, they're really debuffing yous guys.

No, it's not affecting everybody. But it's silencing the monks, which allows the elites to toss them aside without much trouble. More of a general strategy suggestion since Mime was pointing out how fuxed Kenshurians tended to be.

Well gents, I had hoped to get my post up by Monday, but my new laptop crapped out. I just got my old laptop reformatted and running again (which is how I'm typing this now). I did save my partially written post though! And I'll be back on track shortly.

HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE Hewlett Packard.

Update: Okay so the post is written, but on a laptop that's out of battery power and won't accept AC power. Hate hate hate.
