I'm drawn to pandas, tigers and dogs - though huskies are my favorite.
I dun know. I like Pandas I guess for the same reason everyone else likes Pandas. They're awesome. White Tigers for primarily the same reason. I like dogs since I've grown up with them, and pretty much always had a pet dog - they're just really fun animals. |

I like big cats in general, but especially cheetahs, tigers, and panthers. Cheetahs are totally cool in that there's never been a reported attack from one on a human and people used to keep them as pets like dogs because they tame so easily, even after reaching adulthood. Tigers are cool because they actually have striped skin under their fur, love the water, and even have webbed toes to help them swim. Panthers I like just because they're like ninja cats. I mean, you take a jaguar or leopard, who are stalking cats, turn them black, and unleash them under the cover of darness. It's totally cool.

Hyenas, for several reasons. They're intelligent, efficient, and powerful. They're also prone to be misunderstood and badly perceived by the media.
Komodo Dragons have also always fascinated me. I've always been fond of dragons, and the komodos are no exception. I've seen a spotted hyena before, but it's been years. I missed the chance to see a komodo dragon a couple years ago when I was in New Orleans for a SEPA convention, I didn't have the opportunity to go see them.

And that is why I dropped out of first-year bio. I have no head for Latin or Greek.
Dolphins and otters have to be my favourites, the former for their intelligence, the latter for being adorable.

Picking one favourite animal is really tough for me. I've grown an affinity for a lot of the animal kingdom in my studies. I guess I'd have to go with domesticated dogs at the top, because my puppy is close to my heart and they're a fascinating case of phenotype diversity through selective breeding. Childhood favourites were Peregrine Falcon and Wolves. In my studies I guess my favourites are Squid, Cockroaches, and Tardigrades. |

Quite a few things you'd find here or in a National Geographic/Animal Planet/Discovery Channel spot about deep-sea life
To writ: Axolotls, Cats (Hairless or otherwise), Reptiles of any sort, Nudibranchs, Octopuses, Eels, Jumping Spiders (can't resist the great big googly eyes), and nearly everything on this page and beyond |
