...Or the things we're either very ashamed or ever so proud of.
In no particular order for myself:
I have the feeling the winning item of this thread is either going to be extremely awesome or extremely creepy. |

-Akin to the dragonball Z thing, I grew up jumping about my living room, pretending to be a power ranger.
-I laugh manically when no one is around. -Also have photoshopped myself, although in my case it was to make me look like I was creating Ki balls in my hands. -I've corrected my friends concerning events and people in dragonball Z. So much so that they now direct most questions about said series towards me. There's probably more, but those are what come to mind at the moment. |

I do admit, that when I was a little kid after watching DBZ, I would stand out in the middle of the yard trying to focus my Ki and hoping someone would notice my power level. Incredibly sad, but true.

When I'm in my room studying for a test or doing an assignment, I take off my shoes and socks, crouch on my chair, make sure some kind of snack is near, and play this.
Oh, and in high school, I once jumped up and shouted "OBJECTION!" during a debate, complete with the finger pointing. |

Most recently, all of the time and effort put into making custom outfits and facepaint and everything for my Sims so that they would look like my friend's characters on Rock Band was pretty dang nerdy, and then I took pictures in the game like this:
![]() Pretty dang nerdy (and awesome! I think) And then the All-FMA band my friends and I made in Rockband was pretty nerdy(and awesome!) too ![]() And that Metroid Plushie I made recently. Or the whole "going to conventions and cosplaying" thing. And it's not really something I've done, but the fact that I have a giant plushie cardboard box that looks exactly like the box from Metal Gear (even down to the numbers and everything) to lean on whenever I play Metal Gear I think is pretty dang nerdy. I also love having nerdy, crafty friends. I guess my life is just a whirlwind of nerdery.

I'd say that writing a "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" parody and posting it on the internet was pretty geeky. It's also still the best thing I've ever done, which is sad, because it's not that good.
I'm still linking it, though.

In high school I did a speech on Pokemon for my English class.
I was ostracized for the rest of the year. And the following years after that. |

I sang the Power Rangers theme song at a "Talent" Show during a company retreat. Note that just doing this alone wouldn't be enough to sate my thirst for humiliating myself, but I didn't even use the original version, I used THIS version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8XWLRYL6hE (Note: If this is not the Masaaki Endoh version, find that version on Youtube. I can't access Youtube from the company computers >.>) Also note: I'm the only damned nerd/geek in our group. There's 60 people; a few (Like 5 tops) know of 4chan and/or a handful of memes, but otherwise ignore the internet. As for the whole Dragonball Z thing; I work with elementary school kids. We play "Dragon Ball Z" at least once a week during recess, which basically involves us running around shouting DBZ attack names. I won today after dropping a Spirit Bomb on the little bastards. |

I don't know, does making a profit off of corrupting young minds to the ways of D&D count? Because that would totally be my number one. And boy howdy is teaching nerds a lucrative venture. EDIT: My old science teacher tops that every day though. I think the pinnacle of his nerddom (and this comes from a list including - among other things - teaching an entire semester long class on anime and manga for actual credit, which I attended of course) is his appearance on the Japanese special edition of Godzilla: Final Wars. I'm not jealous. Last edited by russianreversal; 04-16-2009 at 08:39 PM. |

Used to dream of being a superhero and inventing cool superhero gadgets as a kid.
Thought I was Superman for a short time when in elementary school. I have an Itoshiki Nozomu costume and I've worn it in public for no reason. Yakitate!! Japan has fueled in me a great desire to bake bread.
