...It's ridiculously fun so far. There are a few things I could nitpick thus far, but honestly, everything in the game is just good times.

Proof?

Well, I picked up an SUV and threw it 200 feet into an oncoming military helicopter, then cut a second helicopter in half with a sword-arm.

What Azisien said, also punching tanks. Having giant spikes come out of the ground and fling tanks into the air. Running up the side of building jumping off flying kicking a helicopter Mortal Kombat style then ripping it out of the sky with my tendril arm as I fall and the pilot screams oh shit oh shit.

So, is it just a sandbox game with evil mutant monster arms?

Mission-based, with some sandbox. I don't much like orb collecting and waypoint running though, so aside from these Disembowl side quests, it's mostly mission for me.

Sprinting through pedestrian crowds is fucking HILARIOUS though.

AI is woefully inadequate. Game's main flaw so far.

Game's out the day after tomorrow for us Europeans.
I'm certain I could mosey down to my gameshop and pick it up too. They're usually a couple of days early with new games, so I'm sure this won't be different.

Beat it.

Shorter than inFAMOUS, and the writing isn't as good. Powers are pretty great, though, and it comes with new game+. Done proper. Like we haven't seen since Chrono Trigger.

Though there are a few issues with the powers. Like claw. Has anyone found anything it's good for once you get access to blade? The other powers have situational uses that makes them all worth upgrading, but Claw just seems like a shittier version of Blade.

The missions are all ridiculously fun, and I never did get tired of busting up army bases, but the side events were all silly shit that was mostly just aggravating, to the point that they aren't worth doing until you've got all your abilities that might help with them. Like timed movement races--you'll never get better than bronze until after you have glide, and probably a few bonuses for air boost.

As a result I did pretty much none of the missions. Sure that made the game a bit harder for me as I was EP starved the whole time--but I managed.

I'd recommend at least renting if not buying it. It's a bit short, so you can probably beat it on a weekend rental, but, again, the New Game +.

That was fast.

Got my copy today and I've been tampering around with it, especially doing the side missions and just wreckin' some shit. One of the few games I haven't felt like I had to be a nice guy about, just running around beating shit up.
