FRONT KICK OF DOOM!

I don't pay attention to everything on TV. I caught Burn Notice by accident but the idea of a sarcastic spy that got burned intrigued me. So it turned out to be a great series. Especially because I liked Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell which sold me.
Entourage happens to be a great show. The reason I like it? Ari is an asshole. Basically, if there's a good show, there must be a reason to watch it. Seeing him own on his wife AND the therapist is a bonus. |

Ari Gold is the best thing to happen to TV since the first picture tube was invented.

I like this show called Peep Show a lot. And I mean a lot. The fundamental reason is simple: It makes me laugh, like really laugh out loud by myself.
EDIT: This was about sharing which shows we like/love and why, right?

Why did I like Who Wants to be a Superhero you ask? Two Words: Major Victory.
![]() This man put the right amount of serious drama and campy comedy into his performance that even though it was a forgone conclusion that he was scripted to lose to the Stan Lee fangasm that was Feedback, I was generally pissed that he did not make it to the final two at the end of the show. Over all this is the only show remotely connected to the realm of "reality television" that I have ever bothered to watch from start to finish. Other than that the thing that draws me to most of the shows that I watch are the characters. It's one of the reasons that I'm really starting to get angry with SyFy since they seem to only have about six stable actors that they like to shuffle around between the four or five major science fiction series that they have showing at any one time. |

You like Entourage because it is Sex and the City for dudes. Let the truth set you free.
There is a term I heard used in relation to another show which basically sums up why I love Burn Notice so hard and that term is "competence porn". 87.9% of that show is like determining objectives and planning tactical maneuvers and executing reconnaisance determinations and readjusting to incorporate developing strategic factors and improvising laterally adaptive maneuvers and OH GOD YES BABY JUST LIKE THAT. And then the other 12.1% is Bruce Campbell and well, there you are.

Burn Notice is that wonderful thrill you get when you take a class and it turns out the teacher is a really cool guy who knows his subject backwards and forwards and is really good at explaining it to people, except that in this case the class is explosions, gunfire and lying to people.
And Bruce Campbell.

Anwar really sells the show as well. Crazy gun chick that has more C4 in her back pocket than a small platoon of Marines can always sell a show.

I am currently obtaining Burn Notice Season 1.
In the mean time, I highly suggest you check out Peep Show, and the original british version. Oh how I hate those american remakes.
