Don't Be A Tuna Head - We're Let's Playing Maniac Mansion!

So this is an idea I've been popping around in my head for half a year now so I finally decided I should do it. Hopefully people participate and don't make me feel silly for trying this.

Hey there, it's you're friendly local CJ here attempting her first Lets Play, and the game of choice is my very first favorite game: Maniac Mansion. As the game is pretty open-ended, I'll probably be making lots of smaller updates as opposed to fewer bigger ones, but it's short(I timed myself at beating the game in about 15-20 minutes working quickly) so... hopefully some of you are up for the ride!

So lets get this show on the road:

Maniac Mansion: A story of life, love, adventure, and tentacles. (Okay, maybe only the last one.)

For those of you who haven't played it(and because old games aren't the best at this exposition thing): Sandy, the main character(Dave)'s ~~bimbo~~ cheerleader girlfriend was last seen being taken into the mysterious mansion on the hill. Like any normal college student, instead of calling the police, Dave calls on two of his best friends (who you get to pick in a bit) to join him on a stealth ops mission into the Edison family's creepy mansion. Are you a bad enough dude to save Sandy?!

And somehow this game's background from here on out is the same color as the forum's background. Go figure.

A meteor screams towards the earth, most certainly going to take out some farmland or a house or-

...Oh well. Nevermind. That meteor certainly won't be important at any point in the game, most likely.

And here we go, character selection! From left to right we have:

Dave - "Sandy's boyfriend. Organizer of her rescue." You have to have Dave in your party. Unfortunately he has no special skills unlike (most) of his friends so he's the most useless character in the game.
Razor - "Leader of the band 'Razor and the Scummettes'." Razor, on top of being the token attractive female of the game is quite the skilled musician. And she has my favorite theme music in the game.
Bernard - "Geek award winner and physics club president." Aka LOOOSER.
Syd - "Aspiring musician who hopes to start his own band." Maybe he should get together with Razor. He's basically a male version of Razor, ability-wise.
Wendy - "Waiting for her first big break as a novelist" I guess a writer might be helpful on a stealth mission...?
Jeff - "Lives on the beach, answers to 'surfer dude'." Is slightly less useless than Dave. Slightly. Fancies himself a bit of a fix-er-upper.
Michael - "Ace photographer for the college newspaper." Has pretty sweet music too actually. Being a photographer means he's the only one who can work all of that fancy photography equipment. Maybe that will be helpful later...?

But which two of these will be chosen to enter the mansion? Only you can decide!

So, there you go. Pick wisely, as the way you beat the game differs depending on what characters you have!

This game is fairly open ended (it's one of those point-and-click adventure games) so it's always open for suggestions on random stuff to try, like "take - chainsaw" "push - door" kind of stuff so, even if I don't ask for it, feel free to throw out suggestions at any time during the LP! Updates will be whenever I feel like it, but they will be frequent enough.
