Company of Heroes Designer dies

The news just broke.

The ~~woman~~ girl was under the influence of drugs, had a friend hold the wheel so she could get out of her sweater, and she lost control hitting a car on the opposite lane head on.

Truly tragic that it killed a designer of a really good game series I just bought on Steam...

I suppose, but it's not really any more tragic than the thousands of other people killed in drunk driving/drugged driving related accidents. That isn't to say that it isn't tragic, just that we overlook the daily tragedy occurring around us due to lax enforcement of drunk and drugged driving laws, low penalties for breaking them, etc. Some of us even break them ourselves without realizing the danger we put ourselves and others into.

If we take any lesson from this, it would be never to repeat the same mistake as this woman did in getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while on drugs, and to pull over if taking off a sweater is so awkward it requires our passenger to attempt to steer the wheel for us.
