Video Games Devil May Cry Gets A Reboot

So DMC is getting a reboot. Maybe I'll actually start liking the series if it turns out to be good, but I don't get it. Wasn't the original Devil May Cry made only a few years ago?

Okay, probably longer than that, but I thought we were still making terrible movies and games out of properties that spawned half a century ago. For god sakes, we've just only made a sequel to that terrible Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, what're we doin' with properties this new?
It's almost as bad as Bayonetta and Bullet Witch.
