So, doing my accounting homework for a lab due tonight, I decided to double check my homework.
I did something wrong. My math doesn't balance on my sheet. I hate this assignment, but if my math doesn't balance, I need to find out why. I'm posting my string here. I've been working on this since 9 AM this morning, and I've gotten my error to a $190 in my favor; but that's not a $0 difference on Assets = Liability + Equity. Any input on homework would be appreciated. [Yes, it's based on playing monopoly. I hate my professor.] + Owners Initial Investment $1700 Connecticut $120, North Carolina $300, Pacific Avenue $300 purchase office supplies from bank on account; $200 Purchase prepaid insurance; $120 Pay Rent -$6 to team B; Rent Received $8 from Team C; Rent Received $8 from Team D; pay Rent -$14 to Team B; Receive Rent $22 from Team D; Purchased Virginia Ave for $160 Purchased Ventnor Ave for $260 Went to Jail Remained in Jail Paid $50 to escape jail; Pay rent $14 rent to Team D; Purchased B&O Railroad $200 Landed on Community Chest [No Impact]; Bank Consulting Salary $200; Community Chest [Medical Expenses, -$50]; Accounts receivable from Team B $26 Purchased States Avenue for $140; Received Rent from Team B $26; Advanced to St. Charles Place; Received $200 for passing go [Bank Consulting Fees]; Paid Rent to Team C $10; Received Rent from Team C $8; Advanced to New York; Paid Team D $16 Advanced to Marvin Gardens; Paid Team C $24; Ended in jail.
