Video Games Hey guys look! a portable SNES! :D

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/a...3/supaboy.aspx

I love it! I want It!

It's just so neat and looks just like an SNES controller. I never got the chance to enjoy this great system (went with Genesis/Mega drive instead) and now I just might get my chance!

Plus you can plug your SNES controllers into it, plug it up to the TV and well you know the rest.

I think it's very neat despite the name "SupaBoy". Yes that's how it's spell't too...

Sounds cool. I would think about getting one, but I already have a setup:

Homebrew PSP + Snes9x Euphoria

This is flashing me back to all the jokes about people getting a Portable NES I was reading a couple years ago. They were all "Yeah, I have a really big PNES".

It was pretty immature but this looks awesome. Even as a plug in to a tv it would really save space for those of us who like to have as many consoles hooked up as possible.

This thing look great, it even has something many portable home consoles are missing:

Extra controller ports but, my bro a nice setup that can replace that:

N900 (was mine, but the damn micro USB thing fell off) + whatever the SNES emulator's called
2 PS3 controllers (1 is mine)
Nokia TV-out cables

The weird part? We have 2 PS3 controllers in this house. What's the number of PS3s? Zero. I've been thinking about getting an X360 controller for my PC but, it seems it won't work as nice as my PS3 controller + an X360 controller emulator.

Think they could have figured out a way to make the cartridge stick inside the case instead of out of the top like that. They would have just had to make it thicker or something in the middle part behind the screen. The handgrip parts could have still been thinner.

I wonder how much this costs? I mean I have like three SNESes lying around here it would have to be pretty cheap to make me go "man I just have to play these games on a portable system that looks like an SNES controller". But I mean, Earthbound, Contra, Super Mario World, those would all be pretty fun to play on that...have to dig the box of games out of the closet.

alright, now that's one innovative piece of engineering. I was a big renter in my youth and don't have the cartridges to justify getting this but I know a buddy who'd really get a kick out of it.

mIrAcLeS Hello and pardon the spam

SDZer0! Hello and welcome to the forums! Sorry for the off-topic, but, you know, friend of mine signing up and all...

As far as this goes... it's pretty cool, and all, but we actually have the old SNES's and the games. Also, teacher's salary. So that about rules out purchasing one for me... That said, I think I approve of the general idea of doing things like this, so long as it's all approved by peeps what needs approvin' (See? I'm a teacher!)
