How about we talk about something that gets people less worked up.
Do you like cats? I like cats. I have three cats. Cocoa is a white male (oh shit privilege) cat that lives outside because he tends to pee on things. I have had him for about eight years, and he is a very sweet, affectionate cat who often comes and sits on my lap when I go outside for a smoke or whatever. I feel bad that he has to live outside but I can't have him pissing all over everything, so them's the brakes. Juniper is a female calico, and she's kind of a fatty. I rescued her from a shelter about three years ago, and she was very skittish at first but has become very affectionate. Maryjane is a female black tabby that I found on the side of the highway about two months ago, and brought home so she wouldn't get hit by a car. She is quickly growing, and almost immediately became very affectionate upon being brought home. Currently she is sleeping on my lap as I type this. What kind of cats do you guys have? |

Whelp, I guess we will have to agree to disagree good sir. While I disagree with your views, I respect your right to express them in this open forum.

It's over. You're done.
Permaban for now. Might be overturned upon staff review later. Everyone else is still free to discuss their adorable kitties.

Used to have no less than four cats. Numbers dwindled down over the years due to them perishing from old age (like in their 15s or 20s). All of them were affectionate to a certain degree. But one of them really stood out for me.
One of my cats, Sarah, caught a bat (yes, a winged rodent) and dropped it in front of me. She would chirp whenever she saw me. And whenever I petted her head or back, she'd let herself fall over with a thud on the side so I could run her tummy while she licked my hand. So adorable. <3 I miss her so much. Now I only have one cat left who has a weird perchance of trying to follow me into the bathroom every time. Still a pleasant cat though. ^^ Last edited by Menarker; 07-31-2012 at 01:44 AM. |

I love cats, too bad my mom's not exactly fond of them so, I've never had one of my own.

I got three cats at the moment, though I can only tenuously lay claim to them since they were my cats back when I lived at home, like, four years ago. But hey, I still love 'em so whatever I'm gonna talk about 'em.
Two of 'em live at my mother and step-father's house. Godzilla and Tokyo, or Zilla and Yoyo. Zilla is white with a grey coloration on her extremities, and Yoyo is... I'm not sure what the word is. Tortoiseshell I guess? She looks kind of like this but not quite. They're named that way because they're a pair of sisters and, as kittens, Zilla always attacked Yoyo; also I'm a huge dork. Their temperaments have flipped as they've aged, which I've rationalized as the invention of Mechagodzilla. Zilla is fond of me in particular. The third is named Violet, and she, to my knowledge, still lives at my father's house (I haven't spoken with him for over two years now). She's a Manx, born without a tail, and has a white coat with patches of brown, which themselves contain black spots. Manx is a really cool breed. They have really long back legs which gives them a sort of rabbit-like gait, and Violet can jump just ridiculously high. I've seen her jump from the ground to the top of a seven-foot wooden fence and land perfectly balanced. Also a very vocal cat, which trait swings on a pendulum from endearing to obnoxious and back. |

More than the privilege comment, I think we all ought to brainstorm why a white cat is named Cocoa. This confuses me.
Was it the sweet sweet ironies? We'll never know. I question the leadership of our gloriously revolting* leader. *Even if the revolution has ended, you're still revolting to me. ![]()
