So Sleeping Dogs, thought it was just another True Crime game? A cheap GTA knockoff? That's kinda what I thought, but I was bored so I bought it.
I was wrong. The game is amazing so far, the combat is like an improved version of Arkham Asylum's which brings some challenge and makes it feel more like a kung fu movie. The driving physics are a good balance between GTA's shitty super realistic ones and SR's fun but probably too cartoony for this setting ones. The writing is good so far and does an excellent job of imitating the Hong Kong crime films it is emulating. On the technical side, it runs quick and well on the PS3, no errors or bugs and the graphics are great (I've heard the Pc version is particularly stunning, being one where they put a lot of effort into taking advantage of the PC's power). Basically if you're looking for a brawler or an open world game I heavily recommend it* *I'm only a few missions in so it could nosedive, but it seems very solid so far.
