Video Games "Five, four, three, two, one, SEX!", the Hyperion-approved Borderlands 2 thread.

So Borderlands 2 just released this week and from what I've played so far it looks like 2K still knows what works and is even learning from what didn't in the first game.

Major differences I've seen so far:
1. No fall damage, which is good since it was really just an inconvenience to delay shield regen.
2. Sprinting. FUCKING SPRINTING.
3. Those "challenges" where you got xp bonuses for doing everything at every amount now earn you Badass Points instead, which you can spend on a small bonus to all your guns, shield or to yourself (mainly stuff like damage, reload, health, etc) in curved increments starting at 1%. Fuck. Yes.
4. There's now an auto-collect for money, health and ammo that drops from breakables and enemies (another inconvenience removed.)
5. Capstone upgrades for each upgrade tree are absolute dope. I've played Zero so far and his sniping capstone is a 999-limit stackable buff from critical hits from guns, which only decays if you stop doing crits for a while. The other two I saw are also far stronger than the capstones I saw in the first game.
6. Rakks are somehow more annoying than before, and their hitboxes were adjusted so that your best bet for fending them off is a well-timed shotgun blast or melee attack.
7. You can move during Fight For Your Life, which actually already managed to let me inch around a corner to score a second wind that I wouldn't have gotten if I was stationary.
8. Map design seems to have changed to better accommodate shortcuts to avoid having to backtrack from most side paths, generally through some pretty awesome jumps that make you feel like a badass for pulling them right after murdering everything that moved.
9. Apparently custom skins also appear as items that you can use to unlock the appropriate skin, unless you choose to sell them to the vendors or drop them so an ally can have it.
10. Zero is the best damn thing that every happened to this franchise.

I'm very optimistic that things will be even better once I get to vehicles and enemies that aren't bandits and snow-monkeys.

Anyone else feel the same way about this game so far?
